Good morning, everyone here. First of all, let me wish each one of you a very happy new month. As we step into the month of May, I hope this month brings you joy, success, and, most importantly, peace in your hearts. Now, grab a cup of water or tea/coffee because I want to share a little journey with you all—a journey through my thoughts as the calendar flips quarter of the year.
Let me start with a little fun.Have you ever noticed how the end of the last three months feels like the last five minutes of being in camp? You're scrambling to recall all the exercises and the shouting, checking if you’ve covered everything, and suddenly realizing how quickly time flew by. That’s exactly how I feel every new month. It’s like life’s alarm clock rings, and I’m left wondering, wait, wasn’t it just January yesterday? 4 months ago
This past year, 2024, was no different. Amid the chaos of school runs, office deadlines, and grocery lists, I barely realized how the months melted away. One moment, I was packing all kinds of textbooks for myself, and the next, I was planning the next year's goals. Time, my dear friends, doesn’t just fly—it rockets past us, leaving behind a trail of…
As I sit here, reflecting on the year gone by, I can’t help but think about how life has changed over the decades. I remember being in my 20s, full of dreams and ambitions. Back then, life seemed so simple, didn’t it? My biggest worry was whether I’d pass my exams or if my favorite dress would still fit after all those weekends and vacations. Right now I think about my parents often, those guiding lights who, sadly, are no longer with me. They were my anchors, my pillars of strength. Their voices still echo in my mind, reminding me of their wisdom, their love, and, yes, their occasional scolding. I smile when I remember how they used to nag me to clean my room or save money. At the time, it felt annoying, but now I realize it was their way of teaching me to be responsible on my own.
Today I love getting to know people, and one of the things I’m thankful for this year is how people have been willing to engage on a deeper level. With such a major shared experience as we’re all having this year, it can be in the form of a prayer, a few deep breaths, looking around for examples of how people are coming together despite being apart, or the commitment to exert more mental energy on the positive “what-ifs” than the negative ones. I’ve learned I often find what I’m looking for, so I try to look for hope.
I invite @tenderdaniel, @adegold4real and @dfinestguy to join this initiative.

Having the right kind of people in our lives is something we should be thankful for. Most people fall into the wrong hands right from home down to the society.
