Learning fashion design as a Tailor was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. One faithful day my mom came back from work and told me I should get ready. She paid for me to learn fashion designing for one year . I was happy and eager to start. Everyday I wake up as early as 7:00 a.m. in the morning and close by 7:00 p.m. in the evening. The first few months was cool I was able coup with time waking up early and coming back home ,the late the Long hours, physical strain and mental stress tested my strength, patience and determination
However, despite the difficulties, the journey through me is a valuable skill and discipline.

Waking up by 7.a.m was not easy especially when my body is creaving for more sleep. I had to quickly get ready ,eat breakfast and rush to the tailoring workshop.going late is not an option because my boss doesn't tolerate lateness so I have to do my best to go early, sometimes the morning were often cold and the thou of a long day ahead sometimes made me reluctant, however I know that if I wanted learning fashion design and succeed I had to push through the tiredness . At the workshop, work begins immediately my boss is a strict but skilled tailor expected punctuality and dedication when I started work the first few weeks were the hardest because I had to learn the basic measurement, cutting fabric, trading the sewing and handing different types of clothes, my fingers often ached from pushing needles through thick fabric and sometimes I pricked myself with pines.yet kept going because I was determined to improve .

They stress and challenges I had

One of the biggest challenges was handling mistakes. As a beginner I made many wrong measurement errors, on stitches and even ruined fabric a few times. Each mistake felt like a setback and sometimes my boss would scold me for not paying attention and spoiling the fabric. There were days when I felt like giving up , thinking that maybe tailoring wasn't for me . However I remember that every expert was once a beginner and mistakes were part of the learning process. Another major challenge was the physical strain of sitting for long hours on a hard chair bending over the sewing machine and constantly using my hands caused backache and stiff fingers. Some days I returned home exhausted, barely having the energy to eat before sleeping. My family noticed how tired I was, but they encouraged me to keep going.

   Progress form work

Despite the struggles there were moments of joy and satisfaction. The first time I sawed a complete dress by myself I felt proud my boss nodded in approval, and that small recognition boosted my confidence. Slowly my stitches became neater, my cuts more precise and my speed improved. Customers started trusting me with their clothes and their compliment made all the hard work worth it. Also I began to appreciate the creativity in my fashion design. Tailoring wasn't just about sewing, it was about understanding fabric patterns and styles, I learned how to adjust design to fit different body types and to add some unique touches to make outfits standard.

   Lesson learned

This experience taught me more than just sewing, it taught me some life lessons. I learned the importance of discipline, patience and hand work. Waking up early and working long hours instilled a sense of responsibility in me.I realized that success doesn't come easy, it requires sacrifice and persistence. Also I learned how to handle pressure. There were days with tight deadlines, especially during festival season when customers needed their clothes urgently. Managing multiple orders without compromising quality was really tough but it improved my time management skills. Most importantly I learned that passion keeps your dreams going, there were times when the stress made me question my choice ,but my love for fashion design always brought me back.
