There's a lot of factors that makes this a reality every single year, one of which is procrastination. So what does procrastination look like then? It's simply that urge you feel to push off something because your body or mind isn't ready. It's a common habit we all can relate to sadly. Procrastination holds so much weight as to how our year starts and ends. For some, it's a case of fear of failure, "I don't think I'm ready", "what if it doesn't work out?" For others, they set unrealistic goals and expect to do some magic. You may not always be able to cross the bridge when you get there so why not make the road smoother from now? For the rest of us it's just a case of time management and lack of motivation. I've learnt that people aren't just busy because they don't have time, it's just that they've got priorities, we usually always find time for what we're interested in. I'm certain we all have personal experiences that may have shaped how we view life different lenses.
Theses experiences cut across new year resolutions to work projects to something as little as house chores.
I remember waking up on a Sunday morning which happens to be my only day off work for the entire week, the moment I got off bed I knew what I was supposed to do and when, because I had already planned it out the previous day. I had laundry to do as early as 7am so I could create time for some personal work on my PC. For some lazy reasons I ended up doing my laundry around 10am, about 3 hours late. A couple minutes after that it rained. The rain was so heavy that I regretted washing it at all. To think that the next day was Monday, a work day, only worsens the consequences like a pile of books waiting to fall off.
So as much as this has become a common habit, consistent and conscious efforts could really help maximize time and minimize unproductivity.

Setting realistic goals is key, I understand my strength so I put out agendas I know it's accomplishable. I'm glad I have exhausted my to-do list for this year two months ago, that doesn't make me stay idol and not strive for more. I'm currently pushing forth towards bigger achievements and I think that's how it should be..
Yeah, we keep pushing, win or lose. That's the energy.
