WHY I CHOSE TO DEVOTE 98% OF MY LIFE TO THE CHURCH
I didn’t choose deep commitment to God’s house out of emotion; it came from conviction. Like Mary, I discovered that “one thing is needful” (Luke 10:42), and that is staying at the Master’s feet.
Some of the friends I started ministry with have left, and many now tell me I’m wasting my time. But I remember that “he that endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13). My assignment is bigger than people’s opinions.
Callings are different. When others walked away, I understood that “many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14). Their decisions do not define my destiny.
Choosing the church preserved me from distractions that swallow many. Truly, “a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere” (Psalm 84:10). The church became my safe place and my training ground.
I serve because it aligns me with purpose. “We are His workmanship, created for good works” (Ephesians 2:10). Giving God my time is simply walking in what He prepared for me.
Even if people do not understand my devotion, God does. “He is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love” (Hebrews 6:10). Heaven keeps the records.
At the end of everything, eternity matters more than applause. So I choose to “seek first the Kingdom” (Matthew 6:33). Devoting my life to God’s house remains the best decision I ever made.
