Hello Hive-Reachout members! The week has just begun, and everyone here is busy and engaged. So, #hivereachout suggested we write about one thing we wish to change about ourselves. Hmmmm......This is quite an interesting writing prompt, and I can completely relate to it.
There are many things I wish to change about myself (I mean, who wouldn't? I guess everyone has something they want to work on). But before diving into the main dish, let's start with an appetizer, shall we?😎
Change is a constant and inevitable part of life. You would agree that as we've grown up, some of the traits we once exhibited have disappeared. You may also agree that currently, there are things you wish you could change about yourself. These changes usually aim to make you either better or worse. There are times when you look in the mirror and think, "I wish I could change this about me. If only I could let go of this, then I could do that."
Now, onto the main dish (hehe, tighten your seatbelt and get ready for a ride because I'm about to reveal a part of myself you might not know about).😎
One thing I wish I could change is my tendency to believe I'm not doing enough, which stems from low self-esteem. This has significantly affected my self-improvement. Let me share a little story with you.
Walk with me.....
I once attended a school competition. I wasn't a contestant; I was just part of the audience. During the event, a question was posed to the contestants, but none of them could answer it. The question was then directed to the audience. I knew the answer, but I couldn't bring myself to say it. Negative voices filled my head, and I quietly succumbed to them, choosing to stay seated. A few minutes later, someone in the crowd stood up and provided the exact answer I had in mind—and yes, it was correct! To my surprise, an important personality awarded that person a cash prize equivalent to the school fees. Just like that! 😩 That experience taught me how I missed out on recognition and a prize because of my low self-esteem, and from that moment, I began to battle my mindset.
I know the impact low self-esteem can have; I've experienced it firsthand, and it doesn't end well. One major consequence is that it prevents you from realizing your goals and following your passions. You become intimidated even when you have so much to offer.
However, I am gradually evolving into a better person. The fact that I'm sharing this with you shows that I am no longer allowing myself to be intimidated. The Hive Blockchain has been instrumental in bringing out my potential. I remind myself daily that I am worth it! I can and will pursue my goals without feeling less important. I speak positively to myself, and slowly but surely, I am coming out of my shell.
Thank you so much for reading, and I appreciate your support🙏💖
P.S: All photos are mine
I am calling out @hiveenthusiast @hairnrey to participate in this writing prompt.

This is a touching experience I believe you won't forget in a hurry. But the good thing is that you've decided to change and that is what matters most. The rest will be a testimony...
Thanks for sharing🙏
Such an inspiring story.
The experience must at times is that, though we might know some certain things and it can be of an important benefits to some personalities if shared, but we end up criticizing and condemning ourselves( low self esteem)
This kind of case do happens to me in the lecture hall most times, I just trust God for a change.
Turning your experience with low selfesteem into motivation for growth is powerful,.and the way hive has helped you to build confidence, I can relate with that.
This is inspiring, thanks for sharing.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That you're evolving into a better person is the most beautiful part in the journey of change
Challenge is accepted.
Watch out for my post.
Hehehehe.... okay.😅
What an interesting story - one that I can relate with.
It's amazing to know that you're evolving and being the better version of yourself.
I look forward to seeing you reach your full potential.
You are limitless.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words.
Your story is touching and inspiring. Can't imagine the regret when you recall that and the opportunity you missed that day. Had someone say a similar story. But hey, there's tomorrow and that means there's opportunity to make up for the mistakes of yesterday. It's good to see you've taken a step towards that.
Hope you duly achieve this.
Thank you so much.
Your words are quite lifting.
You're welcome.
Low self esteem is a killer, I have watched it take away a lot from me just like it did to you. I wish I could turn back the hands of time but it's not possible, its now left for us take correction from our past. Am glad you said you are working on it.. please get rid of that set back..
