Originally our parents have distinct duties to accomplish in our lives, sometimes we may not see them physically doing it but that doesn't mean they're not. Sometimes experiences with both parents can lead to the issue of side-loving one parent over the other but ideally, both parents are to be loved equally by their children just as children are supposed to love both parents equally as well. But then life will always play out and leave us with a decision and reality we have to take or embrace..
