April is here again💃💃💃
A month with unique introduction. It's another season of "April fool". April fool is a prank term to get people excited about the new month and every 1st of April mark a funny memorial in different homes where this is welcome. This prank works well for some but for me, I tried it once and I promised myself never to try it again.
On the 1st of April 2019, I was at home, lonely and bored when a friend of mine called me that she is on her way to my place and I should prepare because we both are going to a special program in her church and because I trusted her, I was preparing too. I cleaned my messy room, arranged the parlour, took my bath, dressed and ate bread and tea. It was around 12 noon when she called back that I should come and open the gate for her. I opened it and she wasn't there, I called her to expressed my displeasure but she laughed and shouted "Aprrril foolll" I was angry and smiling at the same time. She prayed and ended the call and I decided I was going to do mine for someone else. I called my sister, pretending I wasn't feeling too well and she was panicking on phone. I told her I will be fine. Since I know she was going to come I was happy. I cooked her favourite Amala with Egusi and waited for her.
When it was getting late I got worried. I was calling her lines but no one was picking up and I got more worried. Around 7:40pm a call came through that my sister had an accident while coming to my place and she is at the hospital. I ran to the hospital with so much fear and guilt. I saw her sitting with bandage on her legs and she was surprised to see me. She was still asking how I got healed since I told her I was strong. I just responded that I'm better. I never revealed to her that it was a prank but I was grateful she survived. Since then I have promised myself not to be a part of the prank anymore.
April fool has caused havoc for some and it has been a mere laughing game for some too. As much as I know, it should not be a game or prank that will involve putting other's people health and wellbeing at stake. I will conclude by saying April fool has been in existence for long and it doesn't look like it will end soon. Enjoy the prank, laugh and share with caution.

At first, I was laughing at how your friend got you so well with the fake invitation. But when you decided to pull your own prank and it backfired so badly, my heart literally dropped. That must have been such a terrifying moment! ðŸ˜
I love how you ended with a lesson, April Fool’s should be fun, but not at the expense of anyone’s health or well-being. You’re so right; some pranks go too far, and we never know how they might affect people. I’m glad your sister was okay, but I totally understand why you’ve retired from pranking! 😂
