Greetings Hive!

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. Here we are again to showcase our weekly curation of celebrated posts from the Architecture+Design community as we collectively pursue elevating architecture and design with the Hive social blockchain.

We are your dedicated community covering digital content about Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Urban Design, and Environmental Design.

In today's report, we're delighted to present to you our 38th Edition where our top-featured publications highlight a Spanish jewel of Gothic architecture, an interesting concept of Nudism in architecture, and a spectacular church in Venezuela.

Don't forget to also check out our "Runner-Up" entries for their awesome creations.

Our Champions for the Week:

To do this, it is necessary that we travel about one hundred and fifty kilometers from Madrid, the capital of Spain, to reach Aranda de Duero and once there, we allow ourselves to be freely seduced by the media beauty of its old town, where it stands out splendidly, a jewel of the so-called Elizabethan Gothic style - I would rather describe it as a Plateresque Gothic style - which is none other than its imposing church of Santa María la Real.

With nudity in architecture, we seek means to regain the organic feel of the space. A notable feature is exposed structural elements that deal with this heightened space without losing a better experience. Some will intentionally add beams when original beams aren't available. The nudity of structural frames and beams adds an accent to the space and a feel of rawness. While every building has support beams, not every structure has worth the attention.

The author of the work is the architect Erasmo Calvani, who had the collaboration of the Spanish-Venezuelan architect Juan Capdevila Elías. The original plans of the work date from 1975, although it was not until 1980 when it began to be executed. For reasons not worth noting here, the basilica was inaugurated and blessed by John Paul II 16 years after its construction began. The religious ceremony was attended by a crowd of parishioners that exceeded two million people.
