Hello members of the Architecture and design community! Even though it's late, but I want to wish a happy lunar new year to friends who are celebrating! Hopefully next year will be better than last year.
Why am I suddenly bringing up the issue of the lunar new year when it's been over a week already? Because my post this time will discuss about interior design with the theme of the lunar new year. What I will discuss is the concept design of gandaria city mall.
Some people must have realized that I often talk about gandaria city. Whether it's the design or the restaurants in the mall, I often discuss it. Why? Because this is where I work. Yes, I work at the Gandaria City mall management, so I often discuss about things in this mall. Actually not often, but several times I've discussed. Alright, instead of me talking a lot, let's just talk about the design.
South Mainstreet
For the lunar new year concept, this time, the south mainstreet has been changed to a bazaar with red lanterns hanging above it. This bazaar is often held on the south mainstreet, but this time it was made according to the concept. What is being sold are mostly things related to the lunar new year.
South Lobby Concierge
The concierge desk is decorated with cherry blossoms. Above it is also decorated with circular cherry blossoms and then there are several lanterns hanging below it.
West Lobby Concierge
Unlike the South Lobby Concierge, there are no decorative lanterns in the West Lobby Concierge. But on the edge of the table is decorated full of cherry blossoms. Of course the cherry blossoms weren't the real one. I think the west lobby is decorated differently from other lobbies, because only the west lobby concierge desk is decorated with that many flowers. Maybe because the lobby is adjacent to the hotel lobby. I dunno, I'm just guessing.
The Atrium area
The atrium area and its surroundings are decorated with colorful lanterns. Apart from being colorful, the lanterns are patterned with flowers.
This is the area where the lion dance performances are held every year. It's a shame this year I didn't have the opportunity to see the lion dance performance.
North Lobby
Next we move on to the main lobby, north lobby. Placed several statues related to the lunar new year like the photo above. And behind the statue are placed cherry blossom trees which of course aren't real, Lol. This is a favorite place because many visitors take photos in this place.
The last one is the north mainstreet area. This area is actually decorated similarly to the south mainstreet, it's just that there is no bazaar so the streets are wider.
Because that was the last one, so I think that's enough discussion this time. By the way, actually there is one concierge that I forgot to include, namely the north lobby concierge. I also forgot to take a photo. But more or less the concierge desk in the north lobby is similar to the south lobby.
Thanks for dropping by and reading my post. See you all!

Oh, it's been a long time since I've been there. The decoration for CNY is really pretty. The combination of gold and red everywhere makes this mall very luxurious. West Lobby Concierge is my favourite! I like the cherry blossom decoration.
It's been almost 5 months since we last hung out at Gancit. Yeah, I like the west lobby too.
We will meet again soon.

Hello @devyswan1. As expected, the Lunar New Year will always be a festive celebration especially for Asian traditions. You're fortunate to be working in a mall with fantastic architecture. 👍
What section of that shopping complex would you consider the "apple of your eyes"? 😊
Thank you @storiesoferne
