LA IGLESIA SAN LUIS REY DE FRANCIA EN VILLA DE CURA, EDO. ARAGUA, VENEZUELA / THE SAN LUIS REY DE FRANCIA CHURCH IN VILLA DE CURA, ARAGUA STATE, VENEZUELA /

En mi pueblo (Villa de Cura, estado Aragua Venezuela) se encuentra la iglesia dedicada a San Luis Rey de Francia, Santo Patrono de nuestra localidad.
Para 1776 era solo una pequeña capilla, en 1984 recibió una estauración total. Entre sus notas de interés puedo mencionar que en ella reposan los restos del capitán Juan de Dios Agraz, un vaillacurano que siendo apenas adolescente se presentó ante el Libertador Simón Bolivar y se puso a sus órdenes para ir a la batalla, pero el General Bolívar le dijo que era aún muy joven para luchar y le asignó el trabajo de ser su corneta, es decir, encargarse de tocar la corneta para despertar a los soldados y para dar las otras indicaciones pertinentes para la que eran usadas las cornetas en ese entonces. Tuvo el honor de tocar la corneta de victoria en la batalla del triunfo, la Batalla de Carabobo, en la cual Venezuela selló su independencia.
