It's fun having you here and this is my first ever post on this platform and I hope it will be interesting reading this GREAT REPORT OF MINE .
It happened that I found myself working in construction site where the engineer was dealing with a One bedroom flat and self content structure. Witnessing the work from the scratch so I decided to bring the idea on board which is very necessary.
First, I will consider the clearing of the construction site. Remember you can not start constructing a particular structure without clearing the site ( that is, bush clearing ), making the site ready for work.
Having done that, the engineer started by pegging the land to demarcate rooms from toilets, dinning, kitchen and store even the varender.
At this time the land was handed over to the labourers to dig the foundation. But the surprising thing here is that the higher the cost of cement, the higher the amount of excavating the foundation though after series of bargaining it was finally accepted at two hundred naira (#200) per meter which the job was done successfully.
Visiting the site the third day, labourers started mixing the sand with cement and granites, by this time, the engineer had finished doing the underground pegging. And pouring the foundation kick started and was achieved.
I will like to draw the curtain to this discussion by saying that this house is made of a flat and a self content.
But after pegging and pouring was done the following day, forming of walls started.
The flat here consist of a parlor, dinning, room toilet and bathroom, kitchen and store and study. Also the self content consist of a room with toilet and bathroom, and kitchen.
