This looks like a piece of paradise. I like how they took the local architecture and transformed it for its new purpose. It's often the case that you find highly westernized architecture to appeal to western tourists, when in fact those tourists probably want to experience local culture. Great shots and discussion of this place.

Indeed! it inspired me to build a vernacular home based on some places I've seen around Java. I'll be talking more about it soon haha and I am now obsessed with it.
