Hello Hive! I greet you with great respect from Venezuela. I am happy to be able to participate in the Vivir contest in a Material World promoted by @aplusd and supported by the Community of Arquitectura + Diseño. Today I went with my wife to visit one of the great hardware stores in the area, Pall Ferretería, C.A. Located on Avenida Intercomunal Guarenas - Guatire, diagonal to the Buenaventura Guatire Edificio Pall Ferretería Shopping Center, Plot LP-1 Municipality Zamora, Miranda State. While in the commercial establishment my wife and I asked the Manager for the respective authorization to tour all the spaces of the gigantic hardware store so that we can take photographs inside the premises and also in the external part where the area of building materials is located. We were authorized and for that reason, later, I will present the entire photographic memory as a true testimony of the visit. I thank the @aplusd and all the friends in the community who have motivated me to participate in this contest. I'm so excited that even my wife accompanied me and it was she who took the pictures.

Estoy feliz de poder participar en el concurso Vivir en un Mundo Material promovido por @aplusd y apoyado por la Comunidad de Arquitectura + Diseño. Hoy fui con mi esposa a visitar una de las grandes ferretería de la zona, Pall Ferretería, C.A. Ubicada en la Avenida Intercomunal Guarenas - Guatire, diagonal al Centro Comercial Buenaventura Guatire Edificio Pall Ferretería, Parcela LP-1 Municipio Zamora, del Estado Miranda. Estando en el establecimiento comercial, mi esposa y yo, solicitamos al Gerente la autorización respectiva para recorrer todos los espacios de la gigantesca ferretería y así poder tomar fotografías dentro del local y también en la parte externas donde se encuentra el área de materiales de construcción. Fuimos autorizados y por esa razón, más adelante, les presentaré toda la memoria fotográfica como testimonio verdadero de la visita. Doy las gracias a @aplusd y todos los amigos de la comunidad que me han motivado a participar en este concurso. Estoy tan emocionado que hasta mi esposa me acompañó y fue ella quien tomó las fotografías.

In the neighborhood where I was born and where I lived for many years, builders, masons, workers, electricians, carpenters, blacksmiths, plumbers; among other professionals and technicians were members of the same community. The houses were made by the same people and I was one of those neighborhood workers I've worked since I was a kid.

En el barrio donde nací y donde viví por muchos años, los constructores, albañiles, obreros, electricistas, carpinteros, herreros, plomeros; entre otros profesionales y técnicos eran los miembros de la misma comunidad. Las viviendas eran fabricadas por la misma gente y yo fui uno de esos obreros vecinales que trabajé desde que era un niño.

My experience with construction began from my childhood years, loading sand, blocks, bars, cement and all kinds of building materials to participating directly in the construction of homes.

Mi experiencia con la construcción comenzó desde mis años de infancia, cargando arena, bloques, cabillas, cemento y todo tipo de materiales de construcción hasta participar directamente en la construcción de viviendas.

I worked from the foundations, opening gaps with beaks and shovels, mooring and wireing steel bars, shoes, pedestals and columns.

Trabajé desde las fundaciones, abrir huecos con picos y palas, arme y amarre con alambre los emparrillados, zapatas, pedestales y columnas.

I was present at the emptying slab and roof covers. Glue cement and clay blocks.

Estuve presente en el vaciado de losa, placas o platabandas. Pegué bloques de cemento y de arcilla.

My wife is a math teacher and I am a professor of history and geography, my wife is still active and I am retired. Fortunately, in addition to teaching, I have experience in the wonderful world of civil engineering and construction in general. Today, my wife and I are fortunate to be the father of three children of whom two, the twins, are Civil Engineers, @manuelmilano and @memj0310. By the way, on one occasion I worked as a construction carpenter in the expansion of a Cryogenic Complex belonging to Petróleos de Venezuela, PDVSA. An unforgettable experience!

Mi esposa es profesora de matemática y yo soy profesor de historia y de geografía, mi esposa sigue activa y yo jubilado. Afortunadamente, además de la carrera docente, yo tengo experiencia en el maravilloso mundo de la ingeniería civil y de la construcción en general. Hoy, mi esposa y yo tenemos la fortuna de ser padre de tres hijos de los cuales dos, los gemelos, son Ingenieros Civiles, @manuelmilano y @memj0310. Por cierto, en una ocasión trabajé como carpintero de construcción en la ampliación de un Complejo Criogénico perteneciente a Petróleos de Venezuela, PDVSA. ¡Una experiencia inolvidable!

The wonderful world of Construction makes us think of life as it can be compared to birth which starts from fertilization... in this case, from the foundations, to seeing the work materialized. Seeing a work from the elaboration of the initial project to the inauguration of the building is a sublime fact that fills with joy. For love life is proclaimed and from birth to death it must be cared for; this is the construction, it is projected and from the first stone and foundations until the work is completed you must take special dedication and care to make it excellent and high quality and then do the respective maintenance so that it does not deteriorate and last over time. I am passionate about working or seeing each phase, especially the stage of the foundations and then the final stage where the decorators work giving light, hue, life and color in each of the finishes. The décor and furniture give the beauty and comfort that everyone seeks in the buildings. Now I will show the photographic memory that my wife and I bring for this contest Vivir in a world material.

El maravilloso mundo de la Construcción nos hace pensar en la vida ya que se puede comparar con el nacimiento el cual se inicia desde la fecundación... en este caso, desde las fundaciones, hasta ver materializada la obra. Ver una obra desde la elaboración del proyecto inicial hasta la inauguración de la edificación es un hecho sublime que llena de alegría. Por amor se procrea la vida y desde el nacimiento hasta la muerte se debe cuidar; así es la construcción, se proyecta y desde la primera piedra y las fundaciones hasta ver concluida la obra se debe tener especial dedicación y cuidado para que sea excelente y de alta calidad y luego hacer el mantenimiento respectivo para que no se deteriore y perdure en el tiempo. A mi me apasiona trabajar o ver cada fase, especialmente la etapa de las fundaciones y luego la etapa final donde los decoradores trabajan dando luz, matiz, vida y color en cada uno de los acabados. La decoración y los muebles dan la belleza y el confort que todos buscan en las edificaciones. Ahora mostraré la memoria fotográfica que mi esposa y yo traemos para este concurso Vivir en un mundo material.

Hey, @praditya. Good morning from Venezuela. Thank you for the review. As for the question, I have always seen the construction as a wonderful thing; for that reason I love the magical of three elements: Water, Cement and Sand, mixed by the hand of man and then added in a plated column (cabillas), shoe, sling, plate or silverbanda goes making the foundations, the foundations of a building that give resistance and durability. Since the foundations appear, the materials have shaped them. I love the ingenuity of men and women dedicated to this art. Another element of the finishes that I love is the painting, the variety of colors especially pastels. And as he @discoveringarni the shingles are sublime for the roofs and ledges.

En cuanto a la pregunta, siempre he visto la construcción como algo maravilloso; por esa razón me encanta lo mágico de tres elementos: Agua, Cemento y Arena, mezclado por la mano del hombre y luego agregado en un vaciado de columna (cabillas), zapata, losa, placa o platabanda va haciendo las bases, las fundaciones de una edificación que dan resistencia y durabilidad. Desde que aparecen las fundaciones los materiales van dando su forma. A mi me encanta el ingenio de hombres y mujeres dedicados a este arte. Otro elemento de los acabados que me encanta es la pintura, la variedad de colores especialmente pasteles. Y como mencionó @discoveringarni las tejas son sublimes para los techos y cornisas.

Exactly the same sentiment that I share with @praditya. I highly appreciate that you showed us the various materials available in your locality. Well done for this informative and inspiring post.

I like clay tiles as a roofing material. I find them to be a highly suitable material for our tropical climate. Sadly, we hardly see them in the Philippines in the recent times.

Hey, @discoveringarni. Good morning. You have reason for our tropic climates the ideal is the clay shingle to cover the ceilings, they are also beautiful and give a nice finish.
