My own Home Terrace Design.

in Architecture+Design2 years ago (edited)

Good evening we are the luckiest in this community, because we have seen so many beautiful buildings that you have come across. Tonight I feel a little confused because of the rain that keeps coming while I have a lot of schedules that I and my husband have arranged and many places we want to visit. but it's not because of the weather factor that is a hindrance for us, but because our health is also affected due to a single accident that we suffered while driving a few days ago. I hope my husband and I can recover quickly.

We have talked about many beautiful buildings, and we shared them with all friends in this community, but I actually forgot to share my simple house with you. And tonight I will tell you about my terrace design, who knows, it can inspire you. And you need to know that I really like the color green, everything that is green like there is a reflex in my body I want to eat it..ha..ha… and the terrace of the house that I want to show must also be green, a very refreshing color for my eyes.

My terrace is about 5 meters high, higher than the main house which is still in the traditional style, this terrace was completed 2 years ago. With a lot of references from online media and our personal desires, finally, be the terrace we want. And we dream of a large terrace that can accommodate many families, then from the terrace of the house we can see some deliberately planted trees and a few flowers, but forgive us because today it is raining with wind, all the leaves fall and littering the yard.

This terrace is supported by 3 pillars that we designed ourselves using 2 types of natural stone, but I forget what kind of natural stone. And besides the natural stone, we beautify it with a frame that forms a tribe, the way of painting is also not that simple, friends, a little friction with the paint project that insists that the paint we want is very complicated, but in the end we won, even though it was a little disappointing. sich, this disappointment arises because the varnish or polish of the pole that we want is not vivid in color. However, it was enough, because the funds we spent were also the ones who spoke in the end. We decorate these poles beautifully with lamps with modern and contemporary designs that add to the nice appearance of the front porch of our house.

the following photo at night the lamppost looks beautiful

Then we make the top of the terrace like a fortress so that there is a unique and modern impression, then we make the ceiling with PVC material which has a pattern with two contrasting color combinations, we chose dark brown PVC with a typical Indonesian batik pattern while PVC is white we adjust it with a simple line motif, so that the color combination fits what we want. We also beautify the ceiling with modern lights in each PVC pool.

We also beautify our terrace with green lounge chairs with orange cushions, usually my father-in-law who often sits in the afternoon relaxing while enjoying a cup of tea that they deliberately make, and in the morning they use it to dry their bodies so that they can relax. exposed to the morning sun which is good for the bones.

Inside the terrace there is a half wall which we named the stone wall peanut, actually this design has been around for a long time in the era of the 1990s, this design was a special request from my father-in-law, actually a little disconnected from the design we made but after it became a whole turned out pretty pretty too. It's called peanut stone because this wall is like stacked peanuts. This pea stone is intentionally not painted and only varnished, so that the original color of the stone looks real and does not need to be hidden.

And for the floor we use granite which is also not too expensive. For the edges of the granite, we use silver stainless steel.

Why we took this photo of the terrace from the side because if we took it from the front, the entire shape of our terrace could not be seen and was blocked by the honey guava tree that we planted as a natural shade.

That's all, what do you think about our terrace design? do you think this is a good design? Greetings from us Tomi and Maya from the city of Binjai, Indonesia

It looks very beautiful and cozy😊

really very comfortable. especially in our village there are still many trees, when the afternoon wind comes, sleepy while on the terrace

The design is amazing, I really like the material they have used, it is modern, elegant and the colors match very well. I love how it looks at night and those lamps are very elegant. I congratulate you, you were very creative and with very good taste. Thanks for sharing them, I'm sure it will be inspiring for many.

thank you, the pole lamp is indeed very beautiful, the choice of brownish gold color makes the pole feel alive when exposed to the light of the lamp. thanks for dropping by

Love this patio, I love the color too!

thank you, I hope you can also realize your own dream design

You're welcome (^_^)

Hi @maytom
That is such a nice experience to have designed your home's patio.
It looks nice and hope you create beautiful memories in that space.
Keep flourishing.

Yes, that's right.. I'm really happy to be able to realize the terrace of a dream house even though it's very simple

That's a good design, friends and also the color combination of the PVC ceiling makes your house look very beautiful

Thank you.

the house is beautiful and feels very comfortable.

Thank you

The terrace design is very good and looks more modern than the house, and that's because the house was built first so the terrace was built by looking at the designs from various references so the results are very good and modern.

You are absolutely right. the main house was built first and looks ancient, this terrace makes the building more modern. Thank you @theycallmewell

Sure with enormous pleasure dear @maytom. Please ensure to always reply to comments and publish quality content. All the best! 😀

Oh wow! Hi @maytom. Thank you for granting us the great privilege to witness your home. An abode will not just be an ordinary house if it's built with the labor of love. The terrace you've passionately constructed fits perfectly into the overall building design and the surrounding natural environment. As a result, the terrace of your dreams has achieved the serene ambiance it was created for. 😊

I don't know why if you comment I feel at peace because of your knowledge of architecture.. thank you for always being a passion for those of us who lack knowledge
