Hello dear @soulsdetour. First and foremost, I'd like to offer you a nice pat on the back for your relentless efforts in chronicling/documenting significant buildings, most especially the historic types. You're absolutely right, we'll never know what the future brings, but you've helped in preserving their architectural legacies by capturing their important moments through photographs. At least, we can still admire their virtual memories even after they're long gone - due to intentional demolition or natural destruction.
Moreover, although that former tobacco warehouse turned department store appears severely dilapidated today, I think that building still deserves our humble respect for the service it has contributed to society. It may have undergone a dark past due to political influences, yet it has fulfilled its purpose.
Due to fear of collapsing, staying outside for your personal safety was a wise decision. Since we are not sure of its existing structural conditions, it's definitely better to play safe than be sorry. Awesome publication as always! 😊
I do not understand how this type of situation can occur, and more so in cases, such as an important architectural work with an important economic investment to build it, lose its meaning over time and reach such a level of neglect and abandonment, a pity that Is the building owned by an individual or the state? Your content is really shocking and interesting, thank you very much for sharing. @soulsdetour
Congratulations @soulsdetour! We're delighted to specially curate your awesome publication and award it RUNNER-UP in Architecture Brew #61. More power!

Your posts about abandoned architecture are a great way to showcase interesting buildings and keep them alive. The sad thing is that no one cares about the joe of this beautiful building, especially its owner. In my opinion, it would be much more expedient to restore it by giving a second life. I never would have guessed that this building was a tobacco warehouse converted into a department store. I would have thought it was a hotel building. It wouldn't be a bad hotel though. I'm sure.
Apparently the neglect of such buildings is the natural course of things. Either way, you are doing the right thing when you capture these buildings. Their memory will remain for many generations.
Good luck!
It is a shame the state in which buildings can deteriorate regardless of their owners or the state. I can deduce that this building in its early years was a beautiful building as I notice a beautiful design. As you comment... If it is dangerous for pedestrians then why was it built in the first place? It would be a good idea a restoration and give it a good purpose of use. Very interesting post, I loved it @soulsdetour ❤️

Hello dear friend @soulsdetour good afternoon
It is a pity to see these buildings from such abandoned times; These buildings belong to the history of a place, and should be preserved as cultural heritage buildings.
Thank you very much for sharing all this information and the images of your stock.
Have a beautiful afternoon
What a lovely old building. I hope it will be restored one day!
