RE: Drones and Architecture: When ladder can't reach, use a drone!

in Architecture+Design3 years ago

We can use drones to help us better plan cities and landscapes.

Before remote-controlled drones became a cheaper alternative, we had to utilize manned helicopters or other expensive low-level flying vehicles/devices to survey massive urban environments, natural landscapes, and architectural projects. Now, with our advances in electronics and similar technologies, the practice of architecture and design has become more convenient.

I couldn't agree more. With technology, architecture, design and engineering becomes cost-effective and efficient.

I agree, a couple who wanted to see their house being constructed from an aerial perspective contacted @iamyohann to fly over their site with a gyrocopter. He could fly but the gyrocopter and other types of ultralight aircraft couldn't hover. A helicopter is ideal for hovering but in this case..a drone is more practical and economical to get more detailed info.
