RE: [ENG] EXISTENCE OF HUMIDITY IN BUILDING "HOUSE SINDICAL" / [ESP] EXISTENCIA DE HUMEDAD EN EDIFICACIÓN "CASA SINDICAL"

in Architecture+Design3 years ago

This is an interesting project showing how nature can damage the built environment! Moreover, there could also be many other underlying factors involved in the deterioration of the space intended for the Trade Union House. It could be because of the location of an old stream underneath the building, the high elevation of the water table, or perhaps some issues with the construction process.

Looking forward to knowing the solutions you have implemented for those critical problems. Great article @memj0310!

Thank you very @storiesoferne for your comment. If, I will try to publish the possible solutions of rehabilitation, there are several options to rehabilitate and repair, what happens is that studies must be done, to determine the degree of damage of the building, since there are areas where the steel of the slab, has a high degree of corrosion, which causes a decrease in the resistance of the element, you must make tests and determine the degree of damage, study for its possible solutions.

Yes, that's understandable. A thorough inspection of the said building is definitely required and will take some time to investigate. Let us know when the available solutions are ready. Thank you for this!
