RE: The Story of Fordlandia - The failed and abandoned city.

in Architecture+Design3 years ago

Hello Sahiba. Your valuable insights are absolutely true. The Ford Company may be one of the world’s largest carmakers, however, they’ve learned a painful lesson which cost them to loose their investment, business, and efforts. Failure is simply inevitable if organizations neglect the importance of culture, location, and the people to be hired. If only they’ve researched these crucial considerations during the early stages of the project, then a better outcome could have happened. This case study is a clear warning to the architectural community as well to look at all possible angles for a massive endeavor like this. Thank you for this wonderful story! Have a lovely day!

Hey @storiesoferne hope you're doing great. Actually I saw a little documentary on Fordlandia and the idea of this blog came as I though learning from the past is important we should consider all the aspects as you mentioned prior to any huge endeavour in architectural field because it's not just the brick and cement always. it's more about people, culture and land.
Thank you so much for your insightful comment. Hope you're enjoying the weekend:)
