LEBAK BULUS SUBWAY STATION ARCHITECTURE

Three years ago, Indonesia finally had the MRT (Mass rapid Transit), fast train (subway) for the first time. Although planning for the development of this fast mode has been started since 2013, on March 24 2019, President Jokowi inaugurated the north line or phase one construction.

This line has a route from Lebak Bulus to Bundaran HI and has a total of 13 stops, namely: Lebak Bulus, Fatmawati, Cipete Raya, Haji Nawi, Blok A, Blok M BCA, ASEAN, Senayan, Istora Mandiri, Bendungan Hilir, Setia Budi Astra, Dukuh Atas BNI, and the last stop of the Bundaran HI .

This is my first time trying to use this public facility. So, tonight, I have an appointment with a friend in the Setia Budi area. because I'm leaving from Lebak Bulus station, Setia Budi Astra is the number three stop before the last one.

Of the 13 stations, some of them use the flyover concept, and some of the rest use the underground station concept. Lebak Bulus station is one that has a flyover concept.

Passengers can go to the top floor by using the elevator provided or you can walk through the bridge.

On the second floor, we will be greeted by a spacious room where on the right wing there is a hallway, and on the left there is a counter for buying manuals for emergency matters. While next to it is a ticket vending machine. Technology is getting more and more sophisticated, and people are getting used to using these self-serve machines.

Another thing that makes it easier is, if passengers have the MRT application on their smartphone, they can order online and don't have to queue to get tickets.

I chose the last option, ordering tickets via a smartphone is the most fun and easy thing.

After passing the goods inspection and body screening, I had to scan the QR code that I got on my smartphone, and get ready to go to the platform for departure to HI.

on the roof that seems low, is the MRT line. There are two stairs on the right and on the left. The left stair is the departure stair to the Bundaran HI , while the right stair is the arrival route.

This room is very spacious to the back. This makes it easier for passengers at peak hours to avoid crowding and crowding.

There are two accesses to the upper platform, one using a manual ladder and beside it there is an escalator as the other access.

Clean, tidy, very good air circulation are my first impressions for the construction of the first high-speed train in Indonesia.

On the edge of the platform there are chairs in a row about two or three meters away for waiting.

What distinguishes the platform at the MRT station from the KRL station is, on the platform of the MRT station there is an automatic barrier door that only opens when the MRT has arrived and is ready to drop off and dispatch passengers.

It can also be seen on the floor near the barrier that there are two different signs for passengers going down and passengers going up.

A door with a yellow sign for passengers getting on, and a green sign for passengers getting off. This is brilliant. the passengers are very orderly between getting on and off

The MRT will arrive every five to ten minutes. My MRT arrived. Yeay ... finally.

Because I departed from the very first station, not many passengers had entered. The regulation during the pandemic period is that passengers are not allowed to have conversations on the MRT, either two-way or one-way conversations, such as receiving phone calls. We had to be quiet and calm while we were on the MRT.

Do you see me on the mirror?LOL

During the trip, I felt very comfortable and grateful because there are fast and very good public facilities in services like this MRT. I'm really looking forward to the construction of phase two to phase four which will cover more places in the capital.

Thank you Hive for reading my post. look forward to the next post.
