The unforgettable beauty of the Silindung Bulan Palace

The building that I will share is the first palace that I encountered before Paguruyung Palace, which is not too far away, the distance is not even 5 kilometers. And before I knew about other palaces besides the Silindung Bulan palace, I felt this building was very beautiful, but after I found out that there were many buildings that were almost exactly the same in West Sumatra, I felt ordinary and tended to get a little bored with the characteristics of buildings that were almost the same even though there were significant differences. It is quite striking in terms of color and some of the accessories that dress up the building. However, there is definitely a feeling of boredom here.

The Silindung Bulan Palace itself is located in Tanjung Emas District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra and this palace underwent renovations in 2010 due to a fire that occurred in the palace so that it experienced quite serious damage because almost 80 percent of this building consists of boards and other materials which are flammable. However, because this was quickly resolved, the damage caused by the fire was not too serious. And the Silindung Bulan Palace is a palace in the form of a Rumah Gadang Sembilang Ruang, which means that the house has an addition on the side of the building which is shaped like a stage on a ship where the captain gives signals and actually I got a lot of information, but because the information uses regional languages and I If I don't understand this, I won't share this information with all of you. You can look for more information about this building on your social media. I believe the information about this palace is very complete there.

This building has a feminine side and a scary side at the same time. Why can I say that because of several things I can see from several sides of the building. The first is that this building consists of many carvings that are typical of tribes in the West Sumatra region with a very sweet combination of black and green, making the building look simple and show a luxurious, feminine and bold impression at the same time. Very elegant and unmissable. This building will make all visitors' eyes stunned and want to immortalize the moment in the palace.

Secondly, why I say scary is because on the front of the building there is a real buffalo head and not a replica. This is intended as a symbol of greatness for their tribe, however if they are not used to seeing things like that they will shudder in horror. And in front of this building there is an inauguration stone which looks like an inscription monument. This stone contains the date and year of the inauguration of this Palace, which is not open to the general public, but I can't read it because the writing is no longer clear.

In one corner of the palace there is a replica of a horse-drawn carriage, a type of vehicle that was used at that time before there were modern vehicles like today. However, at several points at certain tourist attractions, horse-drawn carriages are deliberately displayed to visitors to generate income for local residents when visitors travel around with these carriages.

In another corner there is a drum made of wood and the surface is made of genuine cowhide. This is used to mark the time of the call to prayer and announcements regarding news of deaths, maghrib drums and others. And if we say whether this palace is still functioning today. The answer is yes and this palace is used by the king's descendants to start weddings and other thanksgivings.

And that's all the information I can convey, thank you, greetings, Tomi diwirja

The design of the palace is very interesting, especially the facade and the roof structure. What incredible traditions the place keeps, I was curious to know such a place.

Yes, exactly. The roof of this palace is very unique, typical of the Minang tribe in Padang Indonesia. Thank you for coming to my post. have a nice day.

This is without a doubt a jewel of architecture and design.... thanks for sharing my friend. Happy weekend
