The peacock in some countries a symbol of heaven, beauty, bliss and happiness. When the male peacock beats the long feathers into a wheel, it looks like many beautiful colorful eyes. Only the males are so colorful. They do it to impress other female peacocks.
The blue peacock is one of the most beautiful for me, from far away you can hear its cry. Then he puts up his brilliant top feathers and flaps his giant wheel.
The blue peacock lat. "Pavo cristatus" comes originally from India today you can see him in every zoo and animal parks and belongs to the order of the chicken birds and to the family of the pheasants.
Here in Wildpark Roggenhausen where beside the peacock also other surprises are to see like for example wild animals, rare domestic animal species as well as a nature trail are waiting for you. The park is located west of the city of Aarau, surrounded by a natural paradise. The whole park grounds cover an area of about 15 hectares.
The attractive playground and the wonderful animals, which can be feeded with the food bought there in park, are especially loved and liked from the little guests.
