What's up, Shadow Hunters community! We're already more than halfway through December, and time is literally flying by from my perspective. Maybe it's because I haven't been able to go out as much as I'd like this holiday season. Inflation is literally eating away at our salaries here in Venezuela, so going out for a walk or eating out is a real luxury. We're in what they call a quiescent mode in plant biology—a state of rest with minimal energy consumption, waiting for better circumstances. Even so, there's one thing I can't ignore in my house, and that's my beloved plants. I needed to buy some soil and fertilizer, so I decided to go to the east of Caracas to buy them, and on the way I came across this interesting reflection that I wanted to share with you for the current #smarp contest in this round #250.

I don't usually travel much to the east of the city, but we went to a very exclusive area in the Baruta municipality, in La Mercedes. It's, in a way, the part of the municipality that's in the valley below the city, since most of the residences are located on the hills, and therefore most of the buildings in this part of Caracas are businesses and financial centers. What's interesting about this is that many of these buildings have reflective surfaces, so I didn't want to miss the opportunity and kept an eye out for some interesting reflections, and it was worth it because this reflection shows part of the surrounding buildings and, being such large buildings, this particular reflection captures not only the buildings, but also part of the sky, which as you can see was partially cloudy.

Then I took photos from the other side of this building, from where this large tree was reflected next to the imposing building behind it. This was the reflection that I found most interesting. I've spoken before about how nature and constantly expanding urban development seem to be locked in a constant struggle, and I think this photograph perfectly captures that relationship.

With this, I conclude my participation in this week's SMARP, friends. There are still two weeks left in December, so we have two more opportunities to share wonderful reflections before the end of the year. Que tal comunidad de Shadow Hunters! Ya estamos a más de la mitad de diciembre, literalmente el tiempo vuela desde mi perspectiva, quizás sea porque no he podido salir tanto como hubiera deseado estos días navideños, la inflación literalmente se esta comiendo nuestros salarios aquí en Venezuela por lo que salir de paseo o a comer fuera es un verdadero lujo, estamos como se dice en biología vegetal: modo quiescente, es decir, un estado de reposo con el mínimo consumo de energía esperando mejores circunstancias. Aún así hay un elemento que no puedo ignorar en mi casa, y se trata de mis amadas plantas, necesitaba comprar algo de tierra y abono, así que decidí salir al este de la ciudad de Caracas para comprarlos y en el camino me conseguí con este interesante reflejo que he querido compartirles para el actual concurso #smarp en este round #250.

No suelo viajar mucho al este de la ciudad, pero fuimos a un lugar muy exclusivo del municipio Baruta, en La Mercedes. Es por decirlo de alguna manera la parte del municipio que esta en el valle de la ciudad, ya que la mayoría de las residencias están ubicadas en las lomas y por tanto la mayoría de los edificios en esta parte de Caracas son comercios y centros financieros. Lo interesante de esto es que muchos de estos edificios tienen superficies reflectantes, por eso no quise perder la oportunidad y estuve atento a conseguir algún reflejo interesante, y valió la pena por que este reflejo muestra parte de los edificios circundantes y al ser edificios tan grandes este reflejo en particular captura no solo los edificios, sino parte del cielo que como pueden ver estaba parcialmente nublado.

Luego tomé fotografías del otro lado de este edificio, desde donde se reflejaba este gran arbol junto al imponente edificio detrás este fue el reflejo que más me parecio interesante, ya había hablado anteriormente como la naturaleza y el urbanismo en constante expansión parecen estar enzarzados en una lucha constante y creo que esta fotografía captura perfectamente esa relación.

Con esto cierro mi participación en el SMARP de esta semana amigos, aún quedan 2 semanas del mes de diciembre así que nos quedan 2 oportunidades más de compartir reflejos maravillosos antes de terminar el año, procuraré salir nuevamente a la caza de nuevos reflejos que compartirles, por lo pronto solo me queda desearles mucha salud y buena suerte.
