as to what the thing is
recently there has been a shortage of pallets worldwide due to the producers having problems with lumber supply, transport and other issues. so the supermarket chains here are now using plastic pallets. there are other designs but this one makes the best shadow by far.
nobody was close but that doesn't mean there are no prizes. it just means the prizes go to the creative and funny entries.
back when this contest had real judges the Hive prizes were provided by @melinda010100. so there was no point in giving them back when she made a good guess. but these days judges are rarer than wooden pallets and i provide the Hive myself. so when she guessed that It's a castle! I can see people and flags waving on the turrets. it wasn't among the most fanciful of replies but when she added It must be getting on into the evening because I can see lights on in many of the windows. i had to laugh.
so 1 Hive to @melinda010100, she deserves it even though she may be inclined to return it.

Oh, I am not the first one with the idea of a fairy tale castle, that is a pity! Well, then let it be a building in the Stalinist Empire style, like some of them in Moscow. It even has sculptural figures decorating the top parts of it. The one on the middle tower is, probably, the image of Lenin or Stalin :)

tried and succeeded. because i already know what the image is from, for me it is most interesting to see what else the image could possibly represent for different people, either based in reality, total fantasy or a mix. your reply was a good mix.
