earlier this year in May we took a trip to the western part of Norway in a district called Ryfylke. it's an area with a huge variety of landscapes from wild rugged mountains to amazing fjords and grazing landscapes primarily for sheep. there are several major watercourses with dams that provide hydroelectric power. these shots are from an artificial lake created by such a dam

since it was in May the deciduous trees all have newly formed leaves with that delicate light green that contrasts with the darker evergreen conifers

in this last shot mosses and lower growth such as blueberry bushes are more prevalent covering the tops of much of the rock
