last summer we had the great opportunity to take a ride on the ferry almost the entire length of Lysefjorden in Ryfylke. it is one of the most scenic places in southern Norway and accordingly a popular tourist spot, including Pulpit Rock and Kjærag both with truly breath taking views. don't expect to be alone though. but from the boat instead of signs of tourism, we passed the majestic cliffs on both sides of the fjord much of the way nice and relaxed. luckily we had near perfect weather, something one can hope for but not expect. naturally i took a lot of photos, including these reflections. i took some in color and some in black and white. they are both good but the stone cliffs appear more dramatic in black and white.
the chances of getting a mirror reflection in these parts is slim indeed as there is nearly always some breeze as the air is pressed through the passage between the mountains in addition to light boat traffic on the water as well. that being said, the rippled reflection of the cliff is an everchanging work of art.
