It was late afternoon in this quiet, country town, spring was in full swing. Green was everywhere you looked as the sun was slowly drifting west. It was as if a flashlight had been turned on, as the #shadows grew on the lush green grass of this lovely cozy home.
The pear trees were budding, casting the shadow that I had been #hunting for.
The peak of the roof, as well as the deck, cast their shadows onto the green, to complete the picture that would be my entry in this week's #shadowhunters contest #SMASH.
There is a beautiful forest that surrounds the plantation of our walnut trees. The big trees at the forest edge leave a shadow on the green, tall and beautiful.
The horses are out enjoying the spring as the green grass grows full of sweetness for their pleasure, next to the shadows on the green. Their winter blankets are all tucked away, no need for them now, as the spring weather warms the air and the sun shines on the earth beneath their feet hooves.
Turning back to say goodbye to Major and Andy, my four-legged neighbors, I spy another shadow on the green.
It's a happy time here on the #homestead, as the flowers start to bloom, and the vegetable gardens are prepared for planting. The days are getting longer by the minute and the lush green landscape continues to dazzle, making for a lovely backdrop for all the shadows on the green.

Wonderful springtime shadows! Those little hills make the perfect green canvas for the pear tree shadows. Did you remember to put your link on the contest post? I didn't see this there.
Wow! Your yard is so beautiful with the green grass all around. Such a beautiful, peaceful and happy place to be. I so love the smell of freshly cut grass.i wonder what trees are those just beyond your walnut plantation, they are tall and straight.
Good day to @aideleijoie, yes, we are so green up here in the mountains of upstate New York. I cut my yard yesterday for the first time this year and had a totally relaxing afternoon riding my lawn mower all around with the sun shining brightly, great day.
We have lots of different trees on our farm, walnut, cherry, maple, ash, pine, spruce, oak and evergreens. We have quite a forest around us.
