Hello everyone. It is now Round 164 of this Show Me A Shadow Challenge. Anyone reading this who is interested to know more about the Contest just click here. Thanks to @melinda010100 for hosting this event and to @annephilbrick who will be judging all our entries. So here goes my entry.
If I did not see it and actually assembled it myself, I wouldn't have any inkling as to what this contraption is.
My daughter bought her son this toy online. It's called a Marble Run. You're supposed to set the contraption up and release marbles from the topmost portion. The marbles then follow a path downwards, passing through tubes and loops and zigzag paths until it stops at the bottom. Cool. When it arrived my grandson was so excited to play with it. Not only play with it. He was excited to help build it. And you know how this goes. The contraption was never ever fully assembled as he kept dropping the marbles on unfinished courses and tubes. No attempt by my daughter to assemble it was successful. It kept crashing down. My grandson never got to play with the toy that night but he was contented knowing he helped build and crash the whole thing.
One night while he was busy with YouTube and the Rescue Bots, I began to assemble it slowly, piece by piece. I was hoping against hope that he would not hear me working on the toy until after I finish putting it together. Mother luck was with me. I finished it just in the nick of time.
What do you think? Not bad for an old man under extreme time pressure. Check this out.
Finally grandson had a go with his fully and correctly constructed Marble Run Toy. And grampa had the time of his life rolling the marbles and enjoying the marble run from top to bottom with his grandson. What could be better?
