Hello Shadow hunters and others. Let's welcome Round 256 of this super fun challenge, the Show Me A Shadow or SMASh Contest hosted by @melinda010100. My neighbor had a major renovation done to her house last year and in the process had to discard a lot of items and objects that were cluttered all over the construction area. One of these was a small plant which I saw stacked up among the many other things right outside her house. Although the plant looked uncared for, dry and dusty with a worn out pot, I found it actually appealing especially its leaf formation. So I asked my neighbor if I can have the plant. She was so glad I asked because it was one less item to worry about. Besides, she had about 2 or 3 more of the same plant scattered outside her house.
I brought the plant home and my wife repotted it and placed it in our patio where it would not be under direct sunlight the whole day. From one small and lonely stem, there are now 3 with another small one coming out. My wife transferred them to a much bigger pot. Here they are now.
I looked this up and found out this is the Zamioculcas zamiifolia. Other common English names are Golden tree, Succulent philodendron, Money Tree, Zu Zu Plant, Eternity Plant, Fat Boy, Zanzibar Gem, Arum Fern, Aroid Palm, and ZZ plant.
Zamioculcas is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae, containing the single species Zamioculcas zamiifolia. It is a tropical perennial plant, native to eastern Africa, from southern Kenya to northeastern South Africa.Wikipedia

Here are a few more of this plant which I happen to notice last night as I was about to enter the house giving some cool shadows against the wall. SMASh mode activated!
