SMASH 281 - Show Me A Shadow Round 281 - Don't Burst My Bubble

Hello Shadow Hunters. I'm really glad to be back again to welcome Round 281 of this smashing contest, the Show Me A Shadow (SMASh) Contest, hosted by @melinda010100. Check this out if you still haven't heard about this challenge here. Do read up and hopefully you can join in the fun.

Last week one of my grandson's former classmates celebrated his birthday. He held a children's party at one of the more popular fastfood chains here in the country, Jollibee. He invited my grandson and his mom, my daughter Jacinta, to the party. He had a great time during the party with all the delicious junk foods being served nonstop, with all the parlor games the most enthusiastic host could think of, with the energetic dancing of the chain's mascot and with all the toys and sweets found in the loot bag distributed to all the kids.

There was one item in the loot bag, though, that took my grandson's fancy. It was a bubble maker.

I don't know just why he focused all his attention on the bubble maker. It's not as though it was the first time he saw one. He's probably used up gallons of bubble maker liquid since he was 3 years old. Maybe the sight of the bubbles being blown away in all directions by the aircon vents was his main delight. Plus the fact that his bubbles were landing on the other customers' tables and nobody seemed to mind, thank goodness.

But, as I told you before, my grandson is a certified SMASher. While playing with the bubbles, he noticed some really cool and interesting shadows. He suddenly called me and his mom to take pictures of, not the bubbles, but the shadows they were casting. Of course, being shadow hunters at heart, we took the pictures.

All the while he kept saying in between breaths, "Don't burst my bubble. Don't burst my bubble!"

He really had a nice time at that party.

For this Round, my entry is the last picture. Hope you agree with me.

And that's all folks. Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. Good luck to all the participants. Meanwhile keep safe everyone and keep SMAShing anytime, anywhere.

Hello dear friend @gems.and.cookies good afternoon
It's great that your grandson could attend the birthday celebration, and have a good time playing with the bubbles, I don't think there is a child who does not see himself brought by this fun
Beautiful photographs, very tender.
I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful weekend

Thank you for the visit and the very nice words. Blowing and bursting bubbles was always a fun thing to do, not only as children but even as adults as well. Somehow the bubbles bring us back to our childhood days 😊
