Shadow Contest Round 243 Entry in Colour and B&W

in Shadow Hunterslast year

I spent a couple of days in Fort Worth, Texas, and couldn't help hunting for some shadows. This first one was spotted at the Hunter Brothers H3 Ranch Steakhouse. The shadow cast by the longhorn bull reminded me of a person in a hoodie.

This is my entry for this week's "Show Me A Shadow Contest," the weekly contest created by @melinda010100, judged by @annephilbrick, and brought to you by the Shadow Hunters Community - hive-179017. If you want to show off your shadow photos, you will find details on this week's SMASh contest here.

The H3 Ranch Steakhouse is adjacent to the 115 year-old Stockyards Hotel, which once served as a hideout for Bonnie and Clyde.

This next shadow photo was captured outside Billy Bob's Texas, the world's largest honky tonk. The building was constructed in 1910, and once served as an open-air barn used to house prize cattle for the Fort Worth Stock Show.

Below, is a shadow-filled image of the Fort Worth Herd. Real Texas cowhands, or "drovers", drive a herd of Texas longhorns down East Exchange Avenue in the Stockyards National Historic District twice every day in an authentic and historically true cattle drive.

And lastly, shadows fall at Stockyards Station, home to about 20 stores and restaurants; a great place to shop and dine!

Great Shots!
Greetings from Corpus!

Thanks. We were just down your way in Port Aransas a few weeks ago.

Port A is much nicer than Corpus, nice choice! 👍🏼
Sometime soon I may be headed your way... I will be actually, just not sure when.

Wurstfest (11/4-13) would be a fun, but crowded time to visit here.

Yeah,.I also can't make any trips.that soon, or during that timeframe..
Hilarious though is this!

I basically grew up in Germany! I lived there from 17-38! I absolutely Loved the place. Mostly in the Schwabian Alps, and Odenwald.
Amazing That you brought that up!
Thank You and have an Awesome Mid-Week!
Thanks for the Follow, I am doing the same!

Ha ha. That is a coincidence.

You should @jacobwayne a follow too. He posts videos and pics of Texas locations.

Thanks a bunch for the tip!

Thank you for the name drop, it's awesome to connect with y'all Texans here on Hive!

Those are true Texas shadows! Thanks for entering the shadow contest again 🌞

Thanks! Of course, right after I posted I captured a Halloween shadow that'll have to wait for next week.

It’s like a cowboy town in an old film. Nice place for historical atmosphere. Back to the past!

That day was extra special because it was the start of Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering. Cowboys came in covered wagons from all across the US and camped in front of the Livestock Exchange building. I hope to post some pictures of the wagons soon.
