The eerily quiet night and the lone pillar were waiting for this moment when the glow of the torch started unleashing the ephemeral shadows of the leaves as soon as the light started making an affair with darkness.
The shadows are the delicate dance between the light and darkness, presence and absence, substance and illusion. And night has a lot more to whisper.
While I was trying to capture the shadows of the leaves, the night breeze was testing my patience, and I was steadfast in capturing the quiet assertion of that moment. Even the temporary wants a dialogue.
The pillar has become archaic and weathered, yet it has stood the test of time; hence, it has become the canvas for the shadows, showcasing the ephemeral presence when subjected to the interplay of light and darkness.
This episodic shadow is a classic story of endurance, persistence, fleeting thoughts, and actions. On one hand, we have physical structures; with the ravage of time that undergo decay. On the other hand, our thoughts are etched in the memory of history. The shadows then become the metaphor of life and the human condition. It is revealing, fleeting, and showcases the fleeting conditions of life and thoughts. It is somewhere between resene and absene.
