Sí, es una flor de navidad, para protegerla del frío la guardamos dentro, pero aún así perdió muchas hojas y las nuevas son más pequeñas. Aquí en Cataluña, costa del mar Mediterráneo la cantidad de sol es mucho mayor que en otros lugares, por ejemplo, donde vive un hijo casi no han visto el sol durante todo lo que va de invierno y sí han tenido nieve y heladas.

Yes, it is a Christmas flower, to protect it from the cold we keep it inside, but still it lost many leaves and the new ones are smaller. Here in Catalonia, on the Mediterranean coast, the amount of sun is much greater than in other places, for example, where a child lives, they have hardly seen the sun during all that winter and they have had snow and frost.

My Christmas poinsettias usually lose all their leaves too. I have always assumed that it was the lack of sunlight that has caused it, but we have had very little sunlight this year and both of my poinsettia plants are still looking pretty good.
I have a bunch of snow pictures to post later today that are from my kids. They live over a hundred miles away from me and we keep in touch with pictures and with text messages. They really got dumped on in Chicago with a lot of snow.

I am going to serve two years in Catalonia. They say it rarely snows. This year it snowed for two days and it was quite an event. They all wanted to go up the mountain, to play with the snow and make snowmen. I did not go up, my son did and he took beautiful photographs.
Here the unpleasant thing is the strong winds throughout the year, but especially in the cold seasons.

Voy a cumplir dos años en Cataluña. Dicen que rara vez nieva. Este año nevó dos días y fue todo un acontecimiento. Todos querían subir a la montaña, a jugar con la nieve y hacer muñecos de nieve. Yo no subí, mi hijo sí y sacó lindas fotografías.
Aquí lo desagradable son los fuertes vientos durante todo el año, pero especialmente en las estaciones frías.
