A Beach Walk & Red Floater / Unexpected Reunion: Shadow Contest/SMASh 401

in Shadow Hunters2 days ago (edited)

Greetings,

How are you doing, Shadow Hunter and photowalk fan?

I hope you had a marvelous weekend wherever you are reading this product of my hunting activities on the beach.

My weekend was great except the outdoor activities that I could not operate because the inside cleaning and put in order my office did not leave enough time to visit the Ocean side of the City.

I would love to share some nice photos I took two weeks ago at the beach when I was walking with friends.

It was a bright Saturday and I had no plan to meet anyone I knew at the beach on that day. I was ready to start my long walk on the fine brown sand when I heard someone not too far shouting my name.

I have a very popular name in this part of the country, so I was not really sure, it was me the person was talking to.

I kept walking in the opposite direction when another individual in front of me like four meters indicated that someone was waving behind me.

There, I saw my friend from High school I barely recognize at first sight, but he did not forget my face.
It was like twenty years since I lost contact with my comrade from high school.

It was cool to reconnect with an old friend after so many years. I proposed to Hubert to join me in my photowalk journey of the day, and we kept discussing while walking.

The waves were not too loud so it was nice to walk close to the Ocean and benefit from the cool wind blowing on the skin absorbing the heat from the sunlight.

After two miles on the same direction, I found this plastic floater used by the fishermen to keep the extreme section of the net visible offshore.

Hubert told me that it is possible that the team that captured fish early in this part of the beach is still arranging their materials.

I looked in all direction, but nobody was around. I thought that perhaps the people in charge of collecting this huge floater were busy somewhere else.

My camera instantly was ready in my hand, so I took these colorful photos in the middle of the beach.

I usually ask permission to the men in charge of the fishing operation before capturing scenes related to their activities. I did not find a person nearby to ask, so I told Hubert that it was not a big deal.

Hubert was going back due to another business he must go to in half an hour. I game him my phone contact and valuable information about Hive.

Although he has no time to spare with content creation, he promised me to look at the information and message me so that I can help me find a cool, simple way to contribute to the ecosystem.

I left Hubert on this area and kept walking in the same direction, expecting to find more interesting materials to capture on my lens.

I hope that you found this adventure on the beach of Cotonou City captivating and the surprise of the Red Floater while reconnecting with an old friend exciting.

Thank you for your attention reading my story while hunting for shadows photos on the sand.

What a lovely encounter with an old school friend. Looks awesome meeting after about 20 years.

I love those shots from the floater

Best of luck

Thank you
Have a great day
Peace

You are welcome dear friend 😇

Peace to you too

At first, I thought that was a round ball which could be kicked but never knew it was something else😅 - a plastic floater use by fisher men.
That leaves me to ask, do they play football there? Or any other game?

This red floater is a tool use to keep the fishnet position easy to locate when the fishermen deploy it in the ocean.
Thank you

Yeah, in the first photo, I didn't notice there was a rope tied to the floater at the back but thought it was a Ballon or ball. I only got to realize it was something else after you changed positions took shots from othher angles.

After a long time your friend was able to recognize you. That's incredible.

It must be good to reconnect with him on the sea beach!
