"Everyone has his cross" grandmother Gianna always repeated. Grandmother Gianna had had a difficult life and had suffered a lot, yet she had remained faithful to God and believed in Providence. She always prayed with her mother-of-pearl rosary in her hand and at least once a day she went to church to thank God for every day spent on earth as if it were a miracle.

“Ognuno ha la sua croce” ripeteva sempre nonna Gianna. Nonna Gianna aveva avuto una vita difficile e aveva molto sofferto, eppure era rimasta fedele a Dio e credeva nella Provvidenza. Pregava sempre con il suo rosario di madreperla in mano e almeno una volta al giorno andava in chiesa per ringraziare Dio di ogni giornata passata sulla terra come se fosse un miracolo.
