[ENG] Some years ago I read a Buddhist book, although the name is lost from my memory, I can remember a very good metaphor in its pages about the ripples in the water that were thoughts in a well. If a mind is agitated, it is like messy and cloudy water, and if a drop of intention falls, it will make no difference in the well, but when a mind is still and focuses on a thought, it is like a drop that falls into the calm water, then its ripples spread far and wide.
This sculpture is called 'The Other Cheek' and it was made by James Mathisson, it is located in Los Caobos Park, Caracas, Venezuela. This park is a quiet place, with an environment full of art, one of the points in Caracas where culture spreads.
I recorded the scene more than three years ago, it was stored in a folder, lost among so many files, but now that I am trying to organize the information on my computer, I got the perfect participation for the contest.
I decided to use a video after reading the requirements to participate very well.
- Recording equipment: Olympus SZ-12 camera and LG-D150g cell phone.
- Editing software: Filmora.

Hace varios años leí un libro budista, aunque el nombre se borró de mi memoria, logro recordar una metáfora muy buena en sus páginas sobre las ondas en el agua que eran pensamientos en un pozo. Si una mente está agitada, es como el agua movida, desordenada y turbia, y si cae una gota de intención, no hará ninguna diferencia en el pozo, pero cuando una mente está quieta y se enfoca en un pensamiento, es como una gota que cae en el agua tranquila, entonces sus ondas se expanden con mucho alcance.
Esta escultura se llama 'La Otra Mejilla' y fue hecha por James Mathisson, se encuentra en el Parque Los Caobos, Caracas, Venezuela. Este parque es un lugar tranquilo, con un entorno lleno de arte, uno de los puntos de Caracas en donde se propaga la cultura.
La escena la grabé hace más de tres años, estaba guardada en una carpeta, perdida entre tantos archivos, pero ahora que estoy intentando organizar la información de mi computador, me conseguí con la participación perfecta par el concurso.
Decidí usar un video luego de leer muy bien los requisitos para participar.
