It was the day before Thanksgiving; I stepped outside to snap this photo of a female frog in my pond. Mind you, we have had freezing temperatures at night, three different snowfalls in November, and yet there she was sitting on the rock.

Perhaps it was because we had two days where the temperatures had risen above 50°F. that she decided it was a good day to emerge. I was concerned because she really should be hibernating along with the rest of the frogs. Last year we found a few dead frogs at the bottom of the pond after being trapped under the ice.
Hopefully, she made the right decision to burrow in as Thanksgiving night the pond froze, and the snow fell once again. The reflection of the trees on the water with the fallen leaves seemed perfect for this week's contest @olgavita.
