It’s been a while!!! And now I’m so glad to be back. To be honest I didn’t feel like I had captured a decent reflection in ages, but this action shot from the other evening at the beach inspired me to enter the contest again.
We happened to take our evening walk at Fishoek beach which is not our closest beach but it’s got a great restaurant just up the street that we wanted to eat at that evening.
Fishoek Life Saving Club is pretty active and are doing a great job training these young folk. Unfortunately my kids don’t love the cold water so I guess it means I don’t have to drive them to these types of extramural activities.
We took a few moments to watch the nippers paddle out to a buoy and back to the beach, next up the middle school age group on the knee boards as they rushed up the beach racing to the triumphant finish!
We left the action behind as we walked to the far end of the beach where the senior life guards were catching waves on their long boards and getting some endurance and distance training.
It was a lovely evening and the sun soon dipped behind the dunes as we walked back to our parked car. It was time for dinner and getting cold without the warm sunshine.
