He reads every word, settles down again and again to flip through the pages of Picarita. He does it fluently at seven years old. He is not distracted by the hustle and bustle around him. "Picarita, the little know-it-all ant", by Ivo Dovale Alarcón, caught her from the first moment. Ivo asks the girl, -did you like it, what is the story about? The girl makes a surprising summary and adds, - a little long. Which gives its author the measure that children have their guidelines and their time is valuable.
The back cover it contains brief words of my authorship, it also includes me in the acknowledgments because I made it my own from the project. "Picarita..." is a story written in quatrain, the simplest of the rhymed stanzas. Children and adults will immerse themselves in the pages becoming part of a story with deep environmentalist overtones.
Dovale illustrates the pages through the use of Artificial Intelligence and photoshop. Luminous colors and attributes characterize the costumes, the psychology of the characters, the environment and the situation. The characters transcend the capacity to settle in an outdoor space lived with groves, fruits, paths, rivers and the swamp, the most important location. Ivo Dovale (1955), has dedicated his life to theater since 1977. He worked in the theater company Guiñol Los Zahoríes and Dramático de Las Tunas, he was also a scriptwriter and artistic director of Eventos Internacionales de la Magia. Actor, director, designer and producer of puppets and sets, he created and starred in important productions throughout his artistic career. Founder of the Las Tunas Clown Ensemble and the Luz Negra Group, introducing the homonymous technique in the local theater in 1994, with the works Metamorfosis and The Little Prince. Among various national awards, he won the Villanueva in 1995.
"Picarita..." is the first story by this renowned Cuban actor immersed in several book projects about theatrical works and work with black light, a technique whose novelty enhances the theatrical spectacle. Picarita, la magia de una historia
La mirada de un niño no engaña, la sinceridad aliñada por la inocencia son las pruebas fehacientes del alcance y calidad de la literatura que llega a sus manos.
Danielle y su madre estaban sentadas a la mesa en un café. La niña mira tratando de adivinar que es lo que traigo en mi mano con tan vivos colores.
Me invitan a ocupar un lugar junto a ellas, le muestro de qué se trata: un libro. Le pregunto a Daniella, -¿quieres verlo?. Sus ojos luminosos son la respuesta.
Lee cada palabra, se acomoda una y otra vez para hojear las páginas de Picarita. Lo hace con fluidez a sus siete años. No se distrae con el bullicio a su alrededor.
"Picarita, la hormiguita sabelotodo", de Ivo Dovale Alarcón la atrapó desde el primer instante.
Ivo pregunta a la niña, -¿te gustó, de qué va la historia?. La niña hace uns síntesis sorprendente y agrega, - un poco largo. Lo que da la medida a su autor que los niños tienen sus pautas y su tiempo es valioso.
La contracubierta contine breves palabras de mi autoría, también me incluye en los agradecimientos porque desde el proyecto lo hice mio.
"Picarita..", es un cuento escrito en cuarteta, la más sencilla de las estrofas rimadas. Niños y adultos se sumergirán en las páginas formando parte de una historia con profundos ribetes ambientalistas.
Dovale ilustra las paginas mediante el uso de la Inteligencia Artificial y fothoshop. Luminosos colores y atributos caracterizan el vestuario, la psicología de los personaje, el entorno y la situación.
Los personajes transcienden el aforo para instalarse en un espacio exterior vivido con arboledas, frutas, senderos, ríos y el pantano, locación más importante.
Ivo Dovale (1955), dedica su vida al teatro desde el año 1977. Trabajó en la compañía de teatro Guiñol Los Zahoríes y Dramático de Las Tunas, también fue guionista y director artístico de Eventos Internacionales de la Magia.
Actor, director, diseñador y realizador de títeres y escenografías, creó y protagonizó importantes puestas en escenas a lo largo de su carrera artística.
Fundador del Conjunto de Payasos de Las Tunas y del Grupo Luz Negra, introduciendo la técnica homónima en el teatro local en 1994, con las obras Metamorfosis y El Pequeño Principe. Entre diversos premios nacionales, obtuvo el Villanueva, en el año 1995.
"Picarita..." es el primer cuento de este reconocido actor cubano sumergido en varios proyectos de libros sobre obras teatrales y trabajos con luz negra, técnica cuya novedad realza el espectáculo teatral.
Ivo Dovale presenta el libro desde la misma estructura poética utilizada en la historia. Invitándo a compartir con los personajes y a escribir sus propias cuartetas.
