Viajes en el tiempo // Time travel
Esto es la Tierra; desierto inhabitable. La nave que ven encima de esa formación que se presume es un tronco de árbol, es la que nos envía las imágenes. Sabemos que algo exterminó al Homo sapiens; que lo hicieron cuando descubrieron su debilidad: sus árboles, de donde obtenían oxígeno, una especie de combustible que los mantenía en movimiento.
This is Earth; uninhabitable desert. The ship you see above that formation, presumed to be a tree trunk, is the one sending us the images. We know that something exterminated Homo sapiens; that they did it when they discovered their weakness: their trees, from which they obtained oxygen, a kind of fuel that kept them moving.
Estas imágenes son recientes. La primera de hace quince noches; no sabemos qué es, pero es parte del peligro que azotó a la Tierra. La segunda fue enviada hace tres días, es un fósil; nótese que el fondo muestra vegetación, lo que permite inferir que no todo es desierto en la Tierra. Su misión es hallar ese lugar, enterarse cómo fue el exterminio del hombre, de qué tecnología se valieron quienes lo hicieron y apoderarse de ella para evitar que acabe con nosotros.
These images are recent. The first one is from fifteen nights ago; we don't know what it is, but it is part of the danger that hit the Earth. The second was sent three days ago, it is a fossil; note that the background shows vegetation, which allows us to infer that not everything is desert on Earth. Your mission is to find that place, find out how man was exterminated, what technology was used by those who did it and take possession of it to prevent it from killing us.
─Señor, ¿cuántos han viajado en el tiempo?
─Serán los terceros ceptunianos en ir.
─¿Y quién asegura que regresaremos?
─Nuestra experiencia.
─Pero ustedes no irán.
─Pero los guiaremos. Los primeros no siguieron las instrucciones. Los segundos se perdieron regresando; fallas mecánicas en la máquina del tiempo. Ustedes regresarán.
─Bien, porque Naptharin tendrá nuestro tercer ceptuniano.
─Y yo no quiero perder los juegos mherbool.
─Estarán en casa, ¡pronto!
Una última advertencia; si perdemos comunicación no se desvíen de la misión, los plutonianos andan acechando… y lo que hacen al capturarnos lo pueden ver en la siguiente imagen… nos disecan y nos exhiben como trofeo.
─Sir, how many have traveled in time?
─You will be the third Ceptunians to go.
─And who ensures that we will return?
─Our experience.
─But you will not go.
─But we will guide you. The former did not follow instructions. The second ones got lost returning; mechanical failures in the time machine. You will return.
─Good, because Naptharin will have our third Ceptunian.
─And I don't want to lose the mherbool games.
─They'll be home, soon!
One last warning; if we lose communication do not deviate from the mission, the Plutonians are lurking around... and what they do when they capture us you can see in the next picture... they dissect us and display us as a trophy.
Dos dimensiones después la nave con los dos ceptunianos aterrizaba en la Tierra. Era el año 6579 en Ceptunio; quienes habían desarrollado la tecnología para viajar en el tiempo y estaban en proceso de conocer las diferentes épocas de los planetas a los que habían tenido acceso. De la Tierra lo más difícil era el estudio de la mente humana; en eso trabajaban, en enviar ceptunianos a diferentes épocas para seguir investigando.
Two dimensions later, the ship with the two Ceptunians landed on Earth. It was the year 6579 in Ceptunio; they had developed the technology for time travel and were in the process of learning about the different epochs of the planets to which they had had access. The most difficult thing on Earth was the study of the human mind; that was what they were working on, sending Ceptunians to different epochs for further research.
Al aterrizar, los tripulantes perdieron el contacto con los suyos, tuvieron que operar la nave usando los controles manuales; ganando libertad para moverse, pero multiplicando sus miedos.
─Ceptuniano a base, ceptuniano a base, estamos frente a algo extraño, una nave de cuatro extremidades que le permite a estas especies andar sobre la superficie de la tierra. ¡Respondan!
─¡Parhertajshs! qué nave más extraña, ¡sigámosla!
─¿Hay respuesta de la base de mando?
─¡No! y no pierdas de vista a la nave extraña.
Upon landing, the crew members lost contact with their own, they had to operate the ship using the manual controls; gaining freedom to move, but multiplying their fears.
─Ceptunian to base, Ceptunian to base, we are facing something strange, a four-limbed ship that allows these species to walk on the surface of the earth. respond!
─Parhertajshs! what a strange ship, let's follow it!
─Are there any response from the command base?
─No! and don't let the strange ship out of your sight.
─¡Ihistodhes! si supieran que se llama perro; que están a minutos de ser triturados porque a los perros les encantan los huesos; material con que disfrazamos su nave.
─¿Cuánto tiempo les queda?
─Ya nos comunicamos con los Homo sapiens aliados; recibirán el alimento escondido en la nave y nuestro tripulantes alimentarán a sus bichos para que no regresen; el protocolo.
─De esa manera mantenemos vivos a los pocos humanos; alimentándolos, luego de que ellos acabaran su vegetación y su formas de producir alimentos.
─Y nos permitan conocer su mente; hasta que…
─Ya no los necesitemos.
─Ihistodhes! if they knew it was called a dog; that they are minutes away from being shredded because dogs love bones; material with which we disguise their ship.
─How much time do they have left?
─We already communicated with the allied Homo sapiens; they will receive the food hidden in the ship and our crew will feed their critters so they don't come back; protocol.
─This way we will keep the few humans alive; feeding them, after they finish their vegetation and their ways of producing food.
─And may we know their mind; until....
─that we no longer need them.
