¡Hola, mis queridos Hivers👋! Como bien ya saben lo mio es hacerte viajar y descubrir paisajes, pero ¿Qué te parece si hoy te hago viajar al pasado? Específicamente a los años 1837 y no te imagines que tengo una máquina del tiempo, tengo algo mejor. Un libro: OLIVER TWIST.
Olviver Twist fué escrita entre los años 1837 y 1839 por el famoso escritor Inglés Charles Dickens, este es un libro que aunque trata de un niño, su lectura es recomendable para niños grandes, adolescentes y adultos, pero también hay versiones ilustradas y adaptadas para niños más pequeños que se están iniciando en la lectura.
Olviver Twist was written between 1837 and 1839 by the famous English writer Charles Dickens, this is a book that although it is about a child, its reading is recommended for older children, teenagers and adults, but there are also illustrated and adapted versions for younger children who are starting to read.

Esta novela narra los desaciertos y aventuras de un pequeño niño huérfano llamado Oliver, al que lo único que le queda de su madre muerta es un pañuelo de seda. En la historia sobresale que Oliver al ser tan inocente, se deja llevar por los demás y por ello se mete en muchos líos.
Es una historia situada en la época victoriana de Inglaterra, específicamente en el auge de la revolución industrial, en la que Dickens hace magníficas descripciones de la vida en el campo decribiendola como la belleza y a la ciudad como un lugar caótico y espeluznante. También en la narrativa destaca las problemáticas de la época como la pobreza, la enorme cantidad de niños en los orfanatos, la hambruna y la malicia de las personas que recogen a jóvenes de la calle para convertirlos en delicuentes.
This novel narrates the misfortunes and adventures of a little orphan boy named Oliver, to whom the only thing he has left from his dead mother is a silk handkerchief. In the story it stands out that Oliver, being so innocent, gets carried away by others and therefore gets into a lot of trouble.
It is a story set in the Victorian era of England, specifically at the height of the industrial revolution, in which Dickens makes magnificent descriptions of life in the countryside describing it as beauty and the city as a chaotic and creepy place. Also in the narrative he highlights the problems of the time such as poverty, the huge number of children in orphanages, famine and the malice of people who pick up young people from the street to turn them into criminals.

Aunque Dickens escribre todo sin romantisismos, de manera cruda, la historia es muy divertida, rápida y facil de entender para cualquiera. Y por supuesto que deja muchísismas enseñazas como la de luchar para progresar en la vida.
Para mí sin duda, Oliver Twist es una historia que vale la pena tener en el repertorio de libros leídos, con él, como te dije en un principio viajaras de la mano de un niño de 14 años a una Inglaterra en plena revolución indrustrial, adaptandose al caos y a la nueva sociedad naciente. Por último cabe destacar que es la primera obra literatura Inglesa protagonizada por un niño, así que esta es otra razón para que no te la pierdas.

Although Dickens writes everything without romanticism, in a crude way, the story is very funny, quick and easy to understand for anyone. And of course, it teaches a lot of lessons such as how to fight to progress in life.
For me without a doubt, Oliver Twist is a story that is worth having in the repertoire of books read, with him, as I said at the beginning you will travel by the hand of a 14 year old boy to an England in full industrial revolution, adapting to the chaos and the new emerging society. Finally it is worth mentioning that it is the first English literary work starring a child, so this is another reason for you not to miss it.
