Hi @eliezerfloyd I feel as though the groom was regretful of what he had given into. He probably realized that since he was unable to control himself knowing he was getting married that he would not be able to do so after the wedding vows. He chose the cowards way out. He should have confessed to his finance and see what would happen next.
