Caminando por una avenida vi la hora en mi reloj, marcaban las 5:18 pm, mi paso apresurado cesó porque noté un destello en el vidrio del aparato que contaba mi tiempo, el destello me cegó por un momento y me desorientó, cuando levanté la vista vi la sonrisa del universo pintada en tonos naranjas y amarillos. Qué increíble color, como si brillara en su máximo esplendor... No duró mucho, solo fue ese pequeño destello, solo fue ese momento y ese segundo. No lo pude apreciar lo suficiente. Si tan sólo hubiese iluminado unos segundos más esa hermosa luz de colores, quizás mis pasos hubiesen tenido sentido, quizás ver el aparato que contaba mi tiempo no me los restara quizás esa luz hubiese sumado un poco más de tiempo en mi día que se oscurecía.
Walking down an avenue I saw the time on my watch, it was 5:18 pm, my hurried pace stopped because I noticed a flash on the glass of the device that counted my time, the flash blinded me for a moment and disoriented me, when I looked up I saw the smile of the universe painted in shades of orange and yellow. What an incredible color, as if it was shining in its maximum splendor.... It didn't last long, it was just that little flash, it was just that moment and that second. I couldn't appreciate it enough. If only that beautiful colored light had illuminated a few seconds more, maybe my steps would have made sense, maybe seeing the device that counted my time would not subtract them from me, maybe that light would have added a little more time to my darkening day.
