ME GUSTA
Me gusta cerrar los ojos y sentir que estoy sobre las cándidas arenas de mi Margarita.
La que me vio florecer año tras año.
Saborear el sol del Manzanillo,
mientras mis ojos van fotografiando los inolvidables barquitos de colores cálidos.
Admirar como el solecito tostado nos pega en la piel morena y azul,
nos cobija y nos da luz.
Coger caracolitos, arenita, llegar a casa y una vez recostados
sentir el vaivén de las olas mientras los ojos se van cerrando plácidamente.
Seguramente broten lirios de mis ojos cuando esté allá,
así como ahora brotan estás palabras dentro de mí.
Me gusta estar aquí,
me gusta poder sentir que estoy allá,
me gusta saber que ya no soy sino
la combinación de sentimientos de estos dos lugares.
I LIKE
I like to close my eyes and feel that I am in the candid sands of my Margarita.
The one that saw me bloom year after year.
Savoring the sun of Manzanillo,
while my eyes photograph the unforgettable little boats of warm colors.
Admiring how the toasted sun hits our brown and blue skin,
sheltering us and giving us light.
Catching shells, sand, arriving home and once lying down, feeling the swaying of the waves while our eyes close placidly.
Surely lilies will sprout from my eyes when I am there,
just as these words are welling up inside me now.
I like being here,
I like being able to feel that I am there,
I like knowing that I am
the combination of feelings of these two places.
