Un suspiro de viento negro
Desde el instante sólo mío,
la máscara y el atavío quejumbroso me siguieron.
Las cenizas circundaban mi cuna esperando
el momento preciso de hacer la magia.
Mi luz no sonó a llanto porque una mueca
dibujó en mi rostro un retorno consciente,
una nueva travesía del río, un gesto cansado de la orilla
frente a mis huellas aún húmedas.
Mi mirada ansiosa buscaba asirse
de una ruta conocida, de un papel, de unas letras,
para comenzar la historia,
la misma que recién inicia en una orilla imprecisa
y que es un relámpago entre sombras,
un suspiro de viento negro
que dilapida, con ojos de ironía, un requiem.
A sigh of black wind
From the instant only mine,
the mask and the plaintive attire followed me.
The ashes circled my cradle waiting for
the precise moment to make the magic.
My light didn't sound like crying because a grimace
drew on my face a conscious return,
a new crossing of the river, a tired gesture from the shore
in front of my still-wet footprints.
My anxious gaze sought to grasp
of a known route, of a paper, of some letters,
to begin the story,
the same one that has just begun on a vague shore
and which is a flash of lightning in the shadows,
a sigh of black wind
that dilapidates, with eyes of irony, a requiem.
