Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de esta hermosa comunidad de Hive Book Club, espero se encuentren bien y que estén teniendo un gran día. En esta ocasión paso les quiero compartir un libro que leí hace unas semanas y no había sabido cómo reseñar, no es que el libro sea malo porque no lo es, pero no me salían las palabras adecuadas para compartir este relato. Esta es una historia corta que va desde Irlanda a Praga y luego a Nueva York, una historia que me ha parecido muy emocionante, sinceramente yo lo leí en 3 días de lo pegada que estaba con él 😅, además, hoy me puse a investigar un poco y la leyenda de las Moiras (las tres diosas del destino) es real, Cloto (Hila el hilo de la vida) Láquesis (teje el destino) Atropos (corta el hilo de la vida). Me gustó mucho que la autora utilizara está leyenda de Las Moiras para hacer esta maravillosa historia y espero que a ustedes también les guste:
La Historia Trata sobre los Hermanos Sullivan, una familia Irlandesa con una estatuilla que ha permanecido a su familia por dos generaciones. Un día el mayor de los hermanos, Malachi Sullivan encuentra a una adinerada anticuaria de nombre Anita Gayes, quién por su ambición lo engaña y le roba la estatua. Esta estatua no es más que una de las tres estatuillas de las tres diosas del destino (Cloto, Láquesis y Atropos), por separado cada uno tiene un valor grande pero insustancial, en cambio si están las tres estatuillas juntas se podrían vender por una fortuna, lo cual no se le pasó desapercibida a Anita. A partir de aquí empieza la búsqueda de estas estatuas, lo que no se esperaban era que las estatuas iban a unir a los destinos de varias personas, pero hay una amenaza que no se detendrá ante nada hasta conseguir lo que quiere, es por esto que Malachi, Gideon y Rebecca Sullivan forman un equipo con Tía Marh, una historiadora muy inteligente., Cleo Tolliver, la dueña de la segunda estatuilla y Jack Burdett, el director de una empresa de seguridad y heredero de la tercera estatuilla, todo para conseguir lo que buscan.
Esta historia ha sido muy emocionante, te deja en suspenso en cada capítulo, no sabes que va a pasar, si los estarán esperando a la siguiente página, si matarán a alguien por ser amigo o familia de aquellos a quienes pertenecen las estatuillas, ha sido una historia llena de aventura, suspenso y sobretodo mucho romance. Malachi a pesar de que solo estaba buscando las estatuillas, al conocer a Tía se enamora, a pesar de ser todo lo opuesto a lo que buscaba en una mujer, pero no le quedó de otra más que aceptarlo, ya no necesitaba solo su conocimiento sobre las estatuillas, la necesita a ella, con todo y sus manías. Gideon al conocer a Cleo pasa algo similar, solo que Cleo sinceramente está loca, es muy extrovertida y dinámica. Por último Rebecca Sullivan y Jack Burdett, esta pareja no fue como las anteriores y por eso es mi favorita, ambos con carácter y cerebro, no dejarán pisotear por nadie y mucho menos caer en sus juegos. Sinceramente mi personaje masculino favorito de este libro es Jack, se ha ganado mis respetos ya que sabe cómo usar su cerebro y pensar antes de actuar, es directo, gentil, pero cuando se meten con su familia o amigos no tiene reparos en dejarlos en la ruina total. Y da la casualidad que apenas ve a Rebeca siente algo diferente que no sabe cómo explicar, por esto se la lleva consigo a Nueva York a terminar con sus planes de tener juntas a las tres diosas del destino después de tantos siglos y de conseguir la aprobación de los hermanos de Becca para casarse con ella aunque ella todavía no lo sepa 😎.

On this occasion I want to share with you a book I read a few weeks ago and I didn’t know how to review it, not that the book is bad because it is not, but I didn’t have the right words to share this story. This is a short story that goes from Ireland to Prague and then to New York, a story that I found very exciting, honestly I read it in 3 days of how glued I was with him 😅, also, today I started to investigate a little and the legend of the Moiras (the three goddesses of destiny) is real, Cloto (Spins the thread of life) Laquesis (weaves the destiny) Atropos (cuts the thread of life). I really liked that the author used this legend of the Moiras to make this wonderful story and I hope you like it too:
The story is about the Sullivan Brothers, an Irish family with a statuette that has been in their family for two generations. One day the eldest of the brothers, Malachi Sullivan meets a wealthy antique dealer named Anita Gayes, who in her ambition deceives him and steals the statue. This statue is nothing more than one of the three statuettes of the three goddesses of destiny (Cloto, Lachesis and Atropos), separately each one has a great but insubstantial value, however if the three statuettes are together they could be sold for a fortune, which did not go unnoticed to Anita. From here begins the search for these statues, what they did not expect was that the statues would unite the destinies of several people, but there is a threat that will stop at nothing to get what they want, this is why Malachi, Gideon and Rebecca Sullivan form a team with Aunt Marh, a very smart historian, Cleo Tolliver, the owner of the second statuette and Jack Burdett, the director of a security company and heir to the third statuette, all to get what they are looking for.
This story has been very exciting, it leaves you in suspense in each chapter, you don’t know what is going to happen, if they will be waiting for them on the next page, if they will kill someone for being a friend or family of those to whom the statuettes belong, it has been a story full of adventure, suspense and above all a lot of romance. Malachi, even though he was only looking for the statuettes, when he met Tia he fell in love, even though she was the opposite of what he was looking for in a woman, but he had no choice but to accept it, he no longer needed only her knowledge about the statuettes, he needed her, with all her quirks. When Gideon meets Cleo, something similar happens, only that Cleo is honestly crazy, she is very extroverted and dynamic. Finally Rebecca Sullivan and Jack Burdett, this couple was not like the previous ones and that’s why it is my favorite, both with character and brains, they will not let anyone trample on them and much less fall into their games. Honestly my favorite male character in this book is Jack, he has earned my respects as he knows how to use his brain and think before he acts, he is direct, gentle, but when they mess with his family or friends he has no qualms about leaving them in total ruin. And it just so happens that as soon as he sees Rebecca he feels something different that he doesn’t know how to explain, this is why he takes her with him to New York to finish with his plans to have the three goddesses of destiny together after so many centuries and to get the approval of Becca’s brothers to marry her even though she still doesn’t know it 😎.
