«For Whom the Bell Tolls» / «A Farewell to Arms» by Ernest Hemingway

I'm glad you chose Ernest Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls: A Farewell to Arms. It's one of my favorite novels, and I've read it several times in recent years. As you might expect, this book transpires during wartime, which creates reading about how deeply these protagonists care about each other, is incredibly interesting. The characters are very different from each other—but they, all share a strong relation and deep connection through their experiences.

I appreciate your comment. Great books do deserve re-visiting! In the past this was my important criteria for defining 'a great book', how much it deserves re-reading (and provides you the pleasure each time).
Wish you a nice year of 2023. Hope the war will ends asap... 😨 without diping us all in the shit above our heads.
