Reading... I hear from different angles the position taken on the act of reading. Some people claim to love reading while others claim to hate it.
Leer... Escucho desde diferentes ángulos la posición que se asume con respecto al acto de leer. Algunos dicen amar la lectura mientras otras personas afirman odiarla.
Regarding this point it is pointed out that both can be valid. This position makes it clear that not all of us were born to love the same thing.
Con respecto a este puntos se señala que ambos pueden ser válidos . Con esta postura se deja claro que no todos nacimos para am lo mismo.
I inherited my passion for reading from my father, an assiduous reader of different literary genres. I used to watch my father since I was a child, I saw how he gradually filled his bookshelf with books, I admired the time he took to read one of the many random books he took out of the library and I also admired his centaries and analysis related to each work. Somehow, my father cultivated in me a love for reading.
Mi pasión por la lectura la heredé de mi padre, un asiduo lector de diferentes géneros literarios. Veía desde pequeña a mi padre, veia cómo poco a poco llenaba la estantería de libros, admiraba el tiempo empleado para leer uno de tantos tomos muchas veces tomados al azar que sacaba de la biblioteca y admiraba también sus centarios y análisis relacionados con cada obra. De alguna manera, mi padre cultivó en mi el amor por la lectura.
What is your favorite time or place to read?
I don't have a favorite place to read but I do have a specific time. I like to read after I have had a good bath and finished my housework, the bedroom is the least attractive place to read, if I decide to read after a day's work and I go to the room for it I will surely fall asleep, in that case I prefer any other place in the house unless I start or resume reading when I wake up in the morning.
Para leer no tengo lugar favorito pero sí un momento específico. Me gusta leer luego de haberme dado un buen baño y culminada mis labores de la casa, la habitación es el lugar menos atractivo para leer, si decido leer luego de una jornada laboral y me voy a la habitación para ello seguramente me quedo dormida, en ese caso prefiero cualquier otro lugar de la casa a menos que, la lectura la inicie o retome al despertar en la mañana.
I like to read when my mind is clear, when I have no worries or pending activities. I need concentration, when I start reading I forget about the world, everything revolves around reading.
Las lecturas me gusta hacerla cuando mi mente está despejada, cuando no tengo preocupaciones ni actividades pendientes. Necesito concentración, cuando inicio alguna lectura me olvido del mundo, todo gira alrededor de la lectura.
What makes you enjoy a book?
Without a doubt, the historical context of the work catches me. It is one of the aspects that I am passionate about. It is not only reading but also knowing about the time in which it was created and the causes that gave rise to its creation. Obviously the plot and the characters are key points to understand the content, however, the author is for me a kind of idol with whom I like to interact every time I decide to read.
Sin lugar a duda me atrapa el contexto histórico de la obra. Es uno de los aspectos que me apasiona. No es solo leer sino conocer sobre la época en que fue creada y las causas que dieron pie a su creación. Obviente la trama y los personajes son puntos claves para entender el contenido son embargo, el autor es para mí una especie de ídolo con quién me gusta interactuar cada vez que decido leer.
Do you like to read before going to bed, outdoors, or on the bus on your way to work?
When I was on my way to work I liked to take out my book to make the journey shorter. However, it was not a fixed practice. Before going to bed is a great option for me; outdoors I don't usually do it because when I'm in open spaces I prefer to enjoy the environment around me.
Cuando iba al trabajo me gustaba sacar mi libro para hacer el camino más corto. Sin embargo, no era una práctica fija. Antes de acostarme si es para mí una gabulosa opción; al aire libre no suelo hacerlo porque cuando estoy en espacios abiertos prefiero disfrutar del ambiente que me rodea.
Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?
I believe that reading is made up of a whole and for that reason, each part is important in order to conjugate what is presented in the work and at the same time to satisfy my need as a reader to understand the reading or literary work.
Creo que la lectura se compone de un todo por tal motivo, cada parte es importante para lograr conjugar lo que se presenta en la obra y a su vez para satisfacer mi necesidad como lectora de comprender la lectura u obra literaria.

La mención sobre tu padre me recordó al mío, que también puede pasar horas y horas leyendo en su mecedora. Es muy bonito cuando el placer por la lectura lo heredamos a través de nuestros padres. Se vuelve así un hábito familiar, un hobbie compartido.
Eso es correcto, sin necesidad de látigos o castigos podemos tomar amor por la lectura, es importante dar ejemplos y eso lo hizo mi padre

Al igual que tú me gusta conocer el contexto de la obra. Leer en este tiempo es una maravilla, suelo hacerlo con el teléfono en la mano para ir buscando en internet todos los detalles del libro que me llaman la atención, sobre todo lo relacionado con sitios geográficos y personajes históricos.
