En este post compartirè un enfoque comunitario y de diversificaciòn de servicios para imaginarme el futuro de las bibliotecas pùblicas, en vez de un enfoque exclusivamente tecnològico de las mismas.
Today we have the challenge proposed by @hive-180164 to write about a somewhat controversial topic such as the future existence of libraries that, like many other institutions, is confronted with the 'digital explosion'.
In this post I will share a community approach and diversification of services to imagine the future of public libraries, instead of an exclusively technological approach to them
Biblioteca del futuro/Library of the future
We are aware that in recent times digital technology with all its resources and the bombardment of information through the internet, has to produce a change in the concept of what a Library should be, since these are no longer the only sources of knowledge. There are also companies like Amazon, for example, that compete with the services traditionally offered by a library: lending books online by paying reasonable monthly fees. I agree then that libraries must renew their vision to compete with new technologies and digital services.

An example of one of these new concept Libraries is the library in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, where public service goes beyond books and technology, it is rather a large space where citizens meet and socialize. . These spaces range from rooms for large events, cinema, game rooms, work spaces, to rest areas and cafeterias.
Thus, I think that libraries should change their approach to services and better adapt to the needs of users and their environment.

-Debe funcionar como un apoyo para su comunidad
-Debe ofrecer un espacio fìsico de encuentro para el aprendizaje, el entretenimiento y el trabajo.
Estos beneficios deben llegar al pùblico de forma que compensen los vacìos del 'poder digital' en el proceso de aprender, para que la tecnología y sus avances se usen para fortalecer la identidad y la organizaciòn de las comunidades.
I could summarize that the new ideal model of Public Library should have two important characteristics:
-It should work as a support for your community
-It must offer a physical meeting space for learning, entertainment and work.
These benefits must reach the public in a way that compensates for the gaps in 'digital power' in the learning process, so that technology and its advances are used to strengthen the identity and organization of communities.

Interesting idea but I don't think that would work especially with the covid situation. Maybe something more like a small chamber or chairs with a separator? I don't know. what do you think?
Hola amiga, la propuesta no es para un paìs en especìfico, es un nuevo concepto, una nueva visión de cómo serán o deben ser estos espacios en el futuro (que es a lo que el reto nos invita), en Finlandia y otros paìses de Europa, Rusia y USA ya están funcionando bajo ese concepto, que mientras dure la Pandemia cumplira con las medidas de bioseguridad establecidas, como en cualquier otro Centro donde haya pùblico. Debemos pensar en grande y hay muchos ejemplos. Saludos!
When it is been renewed with technologies, then lending of books online should be very much easy instead of going to the library.
La biblioteca del futuro, no será solo un lugar de prestar libros, sino un lugar de relacionamiento y aprendizaje para los usuarios, tal como se plantea en el post. Gracias por comentar!
Muy interesante, las bibliotecas públicas siempre han ofrecido un pequeño espacio para la recreación, puede que las bibliotecas del futuro se centren más en fomentar estos espacios utilizando la tecnológica como herramienta para expandir el conocimiento, de manera interactiva y recreativa.
