Tenía aproximadamente 14 años cuando mi abuela me regaló este libro, no entendía por qué, pero con el pasar de los años pude entender por qué lo hizo.
La primera ves que lo leí, no entendía absolutamente nada, pero podía apreciar lo maravilloso que eran las palabras de este autor. Unos años después lo volví a leer y pude comprender muchas cosas, te lleva a un estado de conciencia que ni tu mismo imaginas. Es por eso que quiero recomendarlo y hablarle de este maravilloso libro.
En su libro El Profeta, Gibrán Jalil Gibrán (ALIAS KHALIL GIBRAN) trata de impulsarnos a cambiar nuestra forma de ver la vida, basándos en llevarla de una forma equilibrada con respecto a la divinidad y la paz interior.
Ocho años antes de su muerte Al Mustafá, el elegido, el Bienamado abandona el pueblo donde vivió y antes de irse las personas les piden que hable de ciertos temas, cada uno de los cuales forma un capítulo. Estos temas son: el amor, el matrimonio, los hijos, el dar, el comer y el beber, el trabajo, la alegría y el dolor, las casas, el vestir, el comprar y el vender, el crimen y el castigo, las leyes, la libertad, la razón, la pasión, el conocimiento, el enseñar, la amistad, el hablar, el tiempo, lo bueno y lo malo, la belleza, la religión, y la muerte.
El profeta da a todos, de acuerdo con las leyes de Dios, impulsos para reflexionar y respuesta sobre los sucesos que tienen lugar en este mundo. Además habla también sobre su tarea y así también sobre sí mismo. En esta edición uno de los que se llaman Amigos de Cristo plantea algunas preguntas a Gabriel,la profetisa de Dios en Vida Universal.
Es de esos libros que se dejan leer con frescura pero que han de leerse con detenimiento, yo lo tuve que leer dos veces. En su reflexión acerca de la vida afirma una manera distinta de percibir todo cuanto la rodea.
Nos brinda la oportunidad de encontrarnos a nosotros mismos a través de estas palabras sencillas y cargadas de verdad.
Este libro sólo puede ser disfrutado cuando estás en sintonía con lo que dice y el modo en cómo expresa las verdades que comprenden en cada una de las respuestas a las preguntas del pueblo del cual sale el "profeta". Su estilo sencillo a la vez que las constantes imágenes que maneja, logran capturar nuestra atención y como dice en el libro, no dicen realmente nada nuevo "sino lo que la gente ya sabía desde su interior".
No hace falta estar de acuerdo con todo lo que dice para aprender sobre ciertas cosas y recordar otras que ya estaban olvidadas.

He also speaks also about his task and thus also about himself. In this edition one of those who call themselves Friends of Christ poses some questions to Gabriel, the prophetess of God in Universal Life.
It is one of those books that can be read with freshness but that have to be read carefully, I had to read it twice. In his reflection on life, he affirms a different way of perceiving everything that surrounds her. He gives us the opportunity to find ourselves through these simple, truth-laden words.
This book can only be enjoyed when you are in tune with what he says and the way in which he expresses the truths that they understand in each of the answers to the questions of the people from whom the "prophet" comes. Cada capitulo habla de un suceso de la vida, ya mencionado anteriormente. Son auténticos tesoros que el profeta ha encontrado en sus silencios y que nos envuelve el entusiasmo de descubrir nuestros propios valores.
Me parece un libro muy bien comprendido para los que queremos buscar nuestra verdad interior, quizás no lo comprendan al momento pero ya verán que después lo harán.
El profeta ha sido traducido a más de veinte idiomas porque este libro tuvo un gran éxito que aún perdura
Actualmente khalil Gibran es considerado una gran figura literaria a nivel internacional, un escritor famoso que renovó la poesía árabe. Por su gran difusión mundial, ese libro ha sido reconocido como la obra más difundida después de la Biblia.
