The truth is that I read a very interesting question in a #OCD contest a few weeks ago, but it was impossible for me to participate and I was left with the intention of making this post, so I will not miss that opportunity.
The question did not have great complexity at first glance, but for a recurring reader if it was quite difficult to choose a specific book, the question was:
WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN A MOVIE AND WHY?
La verdad es que leí una pregunta muy interesante en un concurso de #OCD algunas semanas atrás, pero se me hizo imposible participar y quedé con la intención de hacer este post, Así que no perderé esa oportunidad.
La pregunta no tenía gran complejidad a simple vista, pero para una lectora recurrente si era bastante complicado escoger algún libro en específico, La pregunta era:
¿QUÉ LIBRO QUISIERAS VER EN PELÍCULA Y POR QUÉ?
At first I thought of opting for a fairly short book compared to the ones I read, by a Venezuelan author named Carlos Riera, whose title is "DRAGUN". But I had to discard this possibility, because it seemed to me that the story needed to be too long and include more details than they have a book in order to be a movie.
En principio pensé en optar por un libro bastante corto en comparación a los que yo leo, de un autor venezolano que se llama Carlos Riera, que tiene por título "DRAGUN". Pero tuve que desechar esta posibilidad, porque me pareció que la historia necesitaba ser demasiado extensa e incluir más detalles de los que tienen libro para poder ser una película.
Then for obvious reasons I thought of my favorite book "THE LAST LEGION" by Valerio Massimo Manfredi. But the truth is, this should be a series so as not to take away any vital piece from such a spectacular journey of the book, because each part of the reading, each journey of the characters, the way in which the plot is carried, that perfect mix between action-love-history... All that, it would be useless to summarize it in 2 hours of projection.
Luego por obvias razones pensé en mi libro favorito "LA ÚLTIMA LEGIÓN" de Valerio Massimo Manfredi. Pero la verdad esto debería ser una serie para no quitarle ningún pedazo vital a tan espectacular trayecto del libro, porque cada parte de la lectura, cada recorrido de los personajes, la manera en cómo es llevada la trama, esa mezcla perfecta entre acción-amor-historia... Todo eso, sería inútil resumirlo en 2 horas de proyección.
Then I continued biting the limits of fiction and considered the possibility of making the suggestion of proposing the book "LOS LOBOS DE MERCY FALLS" but it turns out that this first book in the Saga has a slow -but necessary- theme to understand All the series of books, although it is written in a masterly way, I don't think anyone wants to invest in making that movie, because it would fight too much with the stereotypes of werewolves, despite being far from the traditional.
Luego seguí mordiendo los límites de la ficción y consideré la posibilidad de hacer la sugerencia de proponer el libro "LOS LOBOS DE MERCY FALLS" pero resulta que ese primer libro de la Saga es de temática lenta -pero necesaria- para entender todas las seguidillas de libros, aunque está escrito de una manera magistral, no creo que alguien quiera invertir en hacer esa película, porque lucharía demasiado con los estereotipos de hombres lobos, a pesar de distar mucho de lo tradicional.
My next options were ruled out before I even tried to think about it, because when I inquired, they already had movies based on their plot. Examples of this were "OPERACIÓN PELÍCANO" and "LA TAPADERA" by Jhon Ghrisham, or "HUNTERS OF SHADOWS" by Cassandra Clare -this saga was unfortunately misinterpreted in her first book because It was carried in a very Hollywood way and not so faithful to the text-, or "ERAGON" -another very sorry representation. On the latter, I have seen countless attempts to use it to make films, but I saw the films before reading the books and felt that I did not understand part of what was going on in the plot. When reading the books I noticed that what had happened was that they had cut their plot a lot and they tried to put each event together with small pieces, even going so far as to want to put the four books in a movie or.

Mi siguientes opciones fueron descartadas antes de intentar siquiera pensarlo, porque cuando indagué, pues ya tenían películas basadas en su trama. Ejemplo de ello fueron "OPERACIÓN PELÍCANO" y "LA TAPADERA" de Jhon Ghrisham, o "CAZADORES DE SOMBRAS" de Cassandra Clare -esta saga fue lamentablemente mal interpretada en su primer libro porque fue llevada de manera muy Hollywoodense y no tan fiel al texto-, o "ERAGON" -otra muy lamentable representación. Sobre esta última, he visto incontables de intentos de usarla para hacer películas, pero yo ví las películas antes de leer los libros y sentía que no entendía parte de lo que sucedía en la trama. Al leer los libros noté que lo que había sucedido era que habían cortado mucho su trama e intentaron armar con pequeños pedazos cada suceso, incluso llegaron al punto de querer poner en una película los cuatro libros o.O

Thinking and thinking, I remembered a book that I read not more than a year ago, in which a dystopian world showed the story of two people from totally different worlds. Two beings that could not be more distant from each other and that life would take care of leading to the same path. 
In principle June was the typical favored girl whose parents had died and she had been raised by a friend of the parents who gave the best education to both her and her brother. She was part of the wealthy and privileged society. She even had the best education and in the test that all children were subjected to at age 13, she was the only one to have obtained a perfect grade in the entire Republic.
On the other hand, Day after failing the exam became the most wanted criminal in the republic. Looking for a way to benefit the most vulnerable population and having a strong position against the government that it considers corrupt.
Pensando y pensando, recordé un libro que leí hace no más de un año, en el que un mundo distópico mostraba la historia de dos personas de mundos totalmente diferentes. Dos seres que no podían distar más el uno del otro y que la vida se encargaría de llevar a un mismo camino.
En principio June era la típica niña favorecida cuyos padres habían muerto y ella había sido criada por un amigo de los padres quién le dio la mejor educación tanto a ella como a su hermano. Ella era parte de la sociedad adinerada y privilegiada. Incluso tuvo la mejor educación y en la prueba a la que sometían a todos los niños a los 13 años, fue la única que ha obtenido calificación perfecta en toda La República.
Por otra parte, Day luego de reprobar el examen se convirtió en el criminal más buscado de la república. Buscando la manera de beneficiar a la población más vulnerable y teniendo fuerte una posición en contra del gobierno que considera corrupto.
The way the author, Marie Lu, takes us little by little in the plot, until all the circumstances are turned around, and that way in which two people end up being so close after the previous circumstances make them practically antagonistic... It's just... Great!
In addition to all this, this writing has the peculiarity of taking the plot to unsuspected destinations where you did not even imagine that the events would lead you to those outcomes.
The Legend book is the first in this saga, a trilogy that is well worth reading, I enjoyed each and every one of the books (Legend, Prodigy and Champions).
La manera en que la autora, Marie Lu, nos lleva poco a poco en la trama, hasta voltear todas las circunstancias, y esa forma en la que dos personas terminan estando tan cerca luego de que las circunstancias anteriores los hicieran prácticamente antagonistas... Es simplemente... ¡Genial!
Aunado a todo esto, esta escritura tiene la peculiaridad de llevar la trama a destinos insospechados dónde no imaginabas siquiera que los sucesos te llevarían a esos desenlaces.
El libro Legend es el primero de esta saga, una trilogía que bien vale la pena leer, yo disfruté todos y cada uno de los libros (Legend, Prodigy y Champions).
